The corners of Jerome's lips curled up slightly. "Grandpa, Kim and the kid don't mind these formalities."

He turned to look at Kimberley as he spoke.

Their eyes met, and a flush of pink instantly washed over Kimberley's cheeks.

He had called her Kim so affectionately just a moment ago, and now he was doing it again. She never thought her name could sound so gentle coming from his mouth.

She quickly looked away, turning to Nelson, trying her best to sound poised.

"Hello, Grandpa. Candy and I came so suddenly, please don't be offended."

Nelson waved Kimberley over, and she walked up to him.

She felt a bit rigid. Seeing Jerome and Lizetta still standing nearby, she felt too awkward to take a seat.

Noticing this, Lizetta walked over, pressed her hands gently on Kimberley's shoulders, and guided her to sit on the sofa.

Pushed down onto the seat, Kimberley looked up to see Lizetta's beaming face, her eyes sparkling with teasing humor.

Kimberley looked over at Jerome, meeting his smiling eyes, and her face grew redder, her heart racing faster.

Jerome genuinely went to prepare the tea and snacks, while Nelson affectionately asked Kimberley questions.
