She shrugged, "Well, I've said my piece. You should get some rest. Maybe someday a woman will care about your face and your family background enough to go all philosophical with you."
Yolanda turned to leave the bedroom, and Cassius felt like he was about to explode.
"Yolanda, do you really think I'm just a pushover?"
Cassius shouted, rushing forward to scoop her up and toss her onto the bed.
Before Yolanda could get up, Cassius was on top of her, pinning her down with his weight.
She tried to wriggle free, but he grabbed her hands and held them above her head.
Cassius, fueled by anger, kissed her neck with a fierce determination, lightly biting as if to punish.
His heated kisses traveled downward, and his anger stirred something more primal within him.
It wasn't until her silk nightgown was tugged open that Cassius realized something was off.
Why wasn't she struggling?
And why was she so quiet?
Cassius lifted his head abruptly, meeting her mocking, slightly disdainful gaze.
Their eyes locked, and Yolanda smirked, her voice cool as ice.
"You're poking me!"
Cassius was taken aback when Yolanda’s knee suddenly aimed for his vulnerable spot again.
Not this time!
Cassius quickly rolled away, dodging her attack.
Feeling slightly embarrassed, he quickly composed himself, his voice laced with irritation.
"That's just because I recover fast, like a superhero. But it still hurts, and what if there are side effects? Besides, if you break it, you buy it."
Yolanda laughed, "Even when caught red-handed, you still talk big. You really are a creature of habit."
She was done arguing with him and turned to leave.
Cassius, seeing she was about to walk out, quickly blocked her path, speaking earnestly.
"Yolanda, I'm giving you one more chance. Come back to me."
Yolanda's expression remained unchanged, her voice calm.
"I may have hurt you, but you did ply me with drinks. Let's call it even. Movie Star Cassius, spare me the drama. Liz is waiting for me. Step aside."

The readers' comments on the novel: Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington)
Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
Update pls thanks!...
