The moment Andrea thought about what could happen, her face went pale.

Andrea reached up, trying to snatch the phone away, but Lizetta clamped down hard on her wrist and spoke coldly.

Lizetta didn’t answer, treating Andrea’s presence like thin air.

Now you’re tangled up with Remington again—if Grandpa finds out, what if he gets so upset he falls ill? Grandma and Grandpa love me like their own, so I’m just looking out for you, for their sake.”

“Take care of yourself first,” Lizetta said with a scoff. As if Andrea ever had anyone’s best interest at heart but her own.

If she truly cared about Nelson and Grandma Bernice, she wouldn’t act the way she did. She was as selfish as ever.

The truth was, Andrea was still bitter that Grandpa and Grandma had cast her out of the Madden family, ignoring all those years they’d raised her.

The elevator was almost at their floor. Andrea bristled with anger, seeing how little Lizetta cared about her presence.
