Chapter 1136

Hearing Jamie’s words, Silas could hardly believe his ears.

“Jamie, are you serious? You’re the head of the Walton family! How can you possibly be afraid of Sharon, a woman who spent years playing the dutiful housewife?”

Jamie’s top

Jamie’s tone was calm, but the glint in his eyes was razor-sharp.

“Sharon endured my torment and still chose to stand against me. That kind of mental resilience isn’t something to underestimate.”

Silas snorted.

“What’s wrong with all of you? She’s just a sheltered woman who’s never seen the real world. And you’re all acting like she’s some kind of threat? Fine. If you’re too scared to make a move, I’ll do it myself.

“I refuse to believe that after all my years working at Kalen Group, I can’t handle a clueless amateur who’s only just entered the business world!”

He was about to hang up when Jamie’s low voice cut through.

“Our restraint has nothing to do with fear. We’re holding back because Sharon doesn’t fight fair. She’s cunning, unpredictable—and the methods she uses aren’t ordinary. Underestimating her will only get you burned.”

Silas frowned, irritated by Jamie’s cryptic warning. He opened his mouth to argue, but Jamie’s voice came again.

“Listen to me first. Since you’ve already made up your mind, I won’t stop you. But remember the old saying: know your enemy as well as yourself, and you’ll never lose a battle.

“Right now, Sharon’s focused on stabilizing Macaron Group. I’ll keep the pressure on that front. You, meanwhile, intercept every order from her business partners-cut off all her collaborations. Force her into a financial chokehold.

“When her company’s cash flow dries up, she’ll have no choice but to sell part of her Silverstone Group shares. That’s when you strike-buy them up at a fraction of their value.

“You can also hire a hacker to infiltrate her company’s network.”

Silas frowned. “I thought of that too, but her system isn’t so easy to breach. I heard that on her second day as CEO, she hired one of the top hackers in the industry to reinforce her firewalls. He’s ranked number one- apparently unbeatable.”

He muttered under his breath, resentment lacing his tone. “I still don’t know where she even found someone like that.”

Jamie’s reply was faint but laced with quiet confidence.

“Number one means nothing. There’s always someone better. Find a stronger hacker, and breaking her system will be effortless.”

Silas’s eyes lit up. “You have someone in mind?”

A slow, knowing smile tugged at Jamie’s lips.

“Of course. The one I know makes that so-called number one hacker look like a child. I’ll give him a call. He’ll be in touch with you soon.”

In her

Sharon sat in silence, her gaze fixed on the stack of documents Enzo had just placed before her.

Enzo said, “Lately, Silas has been intercepting many of our company’s contracts. He even seems to know our next moves-some of which are supposed to be top secret. Miss McKinzie, what should we do next?”

Sharon thought for a long moment before saying, “Have someone keep a close watch on all our senior executives -discreetly. I’ll prepare some falsified documents. Lock them in the safe and post someone nearby. Let’s see if anyone tries to steal them.”

Enzo, efficient as always, immediately went to carry out her orders.

Yet despite the increased security, confidential information continued to leak. And no matter what Sharon tried, she couldn’t catch the culprit.

The Kalen Group shareholders, who had once believed firmly in her ability, began to waver. One by one, they started watching from the sidelines, waiting to see how she would handle the crisis.

But as the stolen contracts piled up and her company fell deeper into disarray, Sharon seemed to find no effective countermeasure at all. 1

The entire company was teetering on the edge of panic and chaos.
