"Babe, are you sure that it’s okay for us to just follow these men?" Wyatt asked in a lowered voice as he walked side-by-side with Diamond, following the group of bodyguards that came out of nowhere.
A mysterious smile was on her face as she listened to Wyatt.
She should be worried and was supposed to, but with Andrea as her best assistant, she was pretty much at ease. Why?
Because, the general information she should know about the person who has summoned them happened to be shared to her from the moment those bodyguards kindly summoned them.
"It’s pretty much fine. Don’t worry," she confidently said, her gaze shifting to nowhere in particular, but the presence of her bodyguards was everywhere.
If anything, happen, they would appear and save the day. If worse comes to worst, she could fight on her own and if she fails, her space fairy was there. She doubted if she would remain in deep seclusion if she is in trouble.
Seeing her looking quite confident, the boys could only keep their fingers crossed.
They weren’t fools, and could tell that whoever wanted to see them, no, see Diamond in particular. That person was not an ordinary person.
Could it be that the other person knows that it was Diamond who sold the pills?
What did they want?
Unfortunately, they couldn’t get the answer they wanted, as they approached a certain door, the bodyguards kindly escorted them to another room.
"Our Master wants to meet with Ms. Diamond. You can wait for her in the other room. Don’t worry, no harm will fall on her."
The bodyguards were very respectful and polite. They didn’t make the two guys to feel threatened. And with Diamond’s reassuring smile, they settled in the guest room where they were served with drinks and entertainment.
Meanwhile, on Diamond’s side, the moment she stepped into the room, her lips curled upwards as she said out loud, "Mr. Levine, you truly have a way to summon people," not bothering to hide the fact that she knows who had summoned her in such a manner.
Standing on his feet, wearing a black tuxedo that outlined his masculine body and having a face that looked so chiseled and handsome, was a man with a face that would make Diamond swoon.
This man’s lips curled upwards as he turned around and didn’t seem very surprised that Diamond already knows who he was.
"I am very sorry for doing this, grandmaster. Please, pardon me," in a gentle tone that didn’t sound so submissive and servile, he apologized, understanding the temper of people like Diamond.
Diamond tsked as she walked forward with elegant steps, her eyes finally locking on the culprit she still has to match the name with the face. And when she saw the face, she screamed inwardly as she found the man’s appearance very much to her liking.
’Mama Mia. If I had known that there was someone this handsome, and aloof, I would have sought him out myself!’ Diamond, who hadn’t seen anyone with looks that made her heart pound like crazy feasted on this sight without any shame.
Lennox felt the heating gaze on him, and he was already used. However, he didn’t think or even expected that Diamond’s thoughts had wandered even further than his own imaginations.
Without knowing her inner thoughts, he politely gestured for her to take a seat.
Diamond, still swooning from this meeting, didn’t make things difficult and seated herself while facing him. That way, she can feast as much as she wanted.
Once they were seated, Lennox looked at her with a softened expression which didn’t look like the aloof and stoic like he always does.
It was his first time to see her in person, and yet he couldn’t help but feel drawn to her. He knew that his actions were very impulsive. He could have let Raya set up a meeting and meet her formally, but when he saw her leaving, he couldn’t hold himself back.
He had to meet her, sit down with her, converse with her and try to understand this mysterious woman. There was so much that he wanted to understand about her, and now felt like the time.
"Once again, I am very sorry for this abruptness. I just couldn’t help myself but want to meet you," once they were seated and his thoughts sorted out, he apologized for his brashness and that alone made Diamond look kindly upon him as a soft smile appeared on her face.
