She explained that to Gael, though not in detail, and that made him sigh with relief as a smile blossomed on his face.
"That’s good then," he cheerfully said, after regaining his color before adding, "besides, as long as the children are yours, they are also mine regardless of who the real daddy is," his tone tinged with sincerity and earnestness which made her feel fluttered.
"You are a real treasure, you know that, right?"
Gael beamed at the unexpected praise and felt very happy.
"I am just responsible."
"Um, I know. I applaud you for that," she didn’t shy away from making praises at all, and the twenty-four-year-old couldn’t help but feel eager to show just how responsible he was.
The young man was pretty happy to hear that, and became even more enthusiastic now that they were talking about kids.
"Baby, how much do you think is enough to save at the moment for the baby fund?" Gael asked Diamond, not wanting to make plans himself.
When Diamond heard that, she snuggled in his embrace with a thoughtful look, as she pondered over that issue.
Although she was preparing to have children in the next few years, she hasn’t really thought about it. After all, money was the last thing she was worried about. So why should she do a baby fund?
But since baby daddy number one wanted to create a baby fund, she might as well be serious about it.
However, there were several things that she needed to take into consideration before uttering a figure. With that in mind, she titled her head to look at him as he caressed her hand.
"Dear, I won’t ask you how much you earn monthly or how much you have saved. But whatever you put into the fund must be an amount that you can manage now and, in the future, while taking into account that you are about to start a business."
Gael will be starting a business next year and that requires a lot of money. As he was into the gaming industry, it might take a while until his business brings in profits. For months, his company might be just operating on a loss, which will be normal. She hoped that during that period, Gael won’t be burdened by the monthly savings, unless of course he plans to just put a lot of money first and do it easily in the future.
Gael wasn’t expecting that response to be honest, however, he felt warmhearted. Finance matters were a hurdle for many couples, and quite tricky to discuss. Thankfully, Gael didn’t have to worry about Diamond eyeing his wallet all the time. In fact, when it comes to needing money from another, perhaps it will be him and not her.
