Diamond wasn’t the kind to procrastinate when she thinks about something.
Before she could take a sip of the milk, she looked at Penny and said, "I can tell that your milk is one of a kind. Is it possible for me to order some milk? I would like to have some," her eyes filled with eager anticipation.
While she could get much better milk from the space, she wouldn’t forgo delicacies from the real world.
Penny was surprised to hear that but her eyes flashed with happiness.
"Its possible. Just tell me how much you need and I will let my husband know!"
Diamond smiled upon receiving such an answer.
"Good. Let’s talk more about it later. Who knows? I might end up ordering more," she responded truthfully.
After all, she hasn’t started eating yet. She might as well be patient for a few more minutes.
With the agreement reached, breakfast started and Penny watched with shock as Diamond vicariously ate her food.
When it comes to food, regardless of whether Diamond is comfortable or not comfortable, she wasn’t one to wrong herself.
When the food is delicious, she will happily eat it and not waste a single piece. Food was precious and nowadays it was even more expensive. The rain once again failed everyone, and those with grain and other food were acting like tyrants, increasing prices whenever they feel like it.
As a result, other people couldn’t afford to eat three meals a day. They were just living to get by. So how could she waste food?
Delicious food, she will eat it and leave no crumb. Unpalatable food, she would not eat it in a way that would make others unable to eat. That way, if she leaves the food, another person can eat it without any disdain or scolding her behind her back.
Fortunately, the food was so damn delicious. The ingredients were the best and the cooks were good at their job. As a result, Penny who ate as if she is stealing food, found herself staring blankly at Diamond who had swept most dishes that usually returns to the kitchen untouched.
Gracelynn on the other hand, being quite picky was greatly influenced by Diamond, who kept on adding dishes to her plate while happily describing how delicious the food was.
As a result, Gracelynn ate more compared to before and even ate the vegetables she would throw a tantrum about when forced to eat.
Penny once again felt another pinch but didn’t dare complain as she was truly grateful to see her daughter eating without causing drama. How could a child be picky and only cares about meat?
After the delicious meal, Diamond had made her mind and happily gave Penny a long list of what she would want to buy. She would be leaving in four days. Hopefully, she will receive her order before then.
"I will share this with my husband later. Once I get a response, I will share with you immediately."
"No problem. I am a patient person," Diamond readily agreed. After all, there was no need to be impatient when the clock wasn’t that ticking fast.
With the meal taken, it was time to go out and play.
When it comes to playing with a child, Diamond don’t know how Penny and Russ raised their child, but she just happens to have some ideas on what she would want to do when she is with her child. At least, a child who is around Gracelynn’s age.
There are some things that can only make sense during a certain stage. When it comes to childhood, one’s mind should be filled with certain games, events and memories that really screams ’childhood.’
