"Haha, our darling likes you. She will be very happy to have you again."
"She is loveable. I love her as well. When I have a daughter, I want to have one like her," Diamond sincerely said, though the likeness shouldn’t be the same.
Her daughter still must have her own uniqueness. She meant the cleverness and the likable factor. Anyway, giving some flattery wouldn’t hurt. Surely, Russ was happy to hear that. Who didn’t like hearing their own children getting so much praised like that?
"Haha, I wish you and your partner the best."
Diamond beamed at the blessings, and shamelessly accepted, "Thank you. When I have good news, I will surely share with you all. Hehe, I wouldn’t mind giving Gracelynn a little friend to play with," picturing what that future will be like.
Who knows? In two years or so, she will start thinking of having her own family. Right now, was still early her relationship was just starting, and she was planning on having fun with her boys first before becoming a mother. She hasn’t dated for that long after all.
Russ found Diamond admirable and very likeable. Unlike those women always speaking coquettishly, trying to seduce him left and right, Diamond felt comfortable to speak with.
He was afraid that the conversation might not go well, but now it seems that he was worried for nothing.
Penny sat there, watching as the two spoke well and very acquainted as if they have known each other for a long time. It was as if they shared some sort of kinship, and honestly it bothered her.
There were times when she felt like interrupting but when she thought of her husband, she could only suppress the urge and watched with a smile like she was supposed to.
Fortunately, at some point, she received news that Gracelynn had woken up, and she excused herself, ready to go and help her darling daughter freshen up.
However, she didn’t expect that someone wanted to tag along, but how could she let that be?
For the first time in a few seconds, Penny experienced a battle that forced her between a hard place and a rock.
And it all started with a simple question.
"Yes, I inherited the business from my father. It’s been something that we have been doing for generations," he proudly responded, completely proud of what he was doing and the legacy that his family has built over the years. "I also heard that you are dabbling in the same profession!" he threw back that at her, completely amazed at how this pretty woman was in an industry that didn’t seem to fit her at all.
Diamond grinned, showing a row of white and straight teeth, her eyes squinting widely with happiness.
"Hehe, you won’t believe it. But when I started, when I got my hands on money, over a year ago. I started with a farm. Things were bad at that time, and when I got my hands on that farm, I told myself that I was going to turn that farm into something that was going to save and help a lot of people," she started sharing the good and bad things that happened at the farm.
How she started the farm, how she started earning money, and gained a loyal fanbase. How that farm had expanded from one to two.
From starting from farming vegetables, and keeping poultry, and then moving on to add pigs, dairy cows and some beef cattle. Of course, the beef cattle were currently not at the stage to turn into beef since they started that late, but for pigs and others, they have been selling well.
"Hehe, that side of business isn’t as big as yours, but I can say that I am doing my part at keeping part of my people fed. And I am proud of that," at the end of it all, which fortunately took a short time compared to before, she proudly said, a smile on her face, feeling quite happy at everything she had done so far.
Her prices were fair, and she catered to both the commoners and the rich. Where did she wrong anyone?
