’Did cultivating make my Mama a seer?’
Diamond looked suspiciously at her mother who was looking at her with one of her scary glares and shrunk her neck knowing that her mother was not playing.
Ma Perry furrowed her brows seeing what Diamond was up to and glared at her warningly and that trick worked.
"I .... Do you really want to know?" Diamond uncertainly asked, wondering if they would be able to take it if she said it all.
Ma Perry, who didn’t want to be shocked anymore further in the future decided to hear everything at this very moment.
So, she was ready and nodded her head heavily.
Pa Perry was the same. He was quite curious what his eldest had been up to all this time, while Ruby wanted to understand how her sister prowess was like. After all, it was rare to come across such a chance to understand Diamond.
So, all eyes were on Diamond, who sighed heavily hoping that her family would be able to take it.
Anyway, it didn’t hurt to let them know.
After comforting herself, she opened her mouth and started confessing.
"Um ... so, as you all know, I own a few businesses but what you don’t know is that I might own a few more other than that ....." and she started with what brings in money.
Thankfully, that wasn’t too shocking for the family. However, upon hearing the companies and businesses she was involved in, the three looked at her with astonishment.
’How was she managing all that at once?’
"I own some major shares in companies like ......., I recently bought an estate in Country G. When we have time, let’s visit there and enjoy fresh produce ....."
"I recently acquired shares in the Dawkers group. They have a local car brand. I will buy a few cars later and let you test them. They should be good!" With nonchalance on her face, she shared her feats making the three not know what to even think.
How can one speak causally like that as if speaking about buying fruits at a vegetable market?
However, Diamond didn’t see it like that. She was truly interested in the kind of cars the Dawkers were making. After all, having an extra car or a few others wouldn’t change anything.
After mentioning several companies, she owned, she moved a level higher, taking them by surprise.
"As you know, I am kind of gifted in the alchemy department ...." She boastfully said, raising her brows which made the three at a loss at how to look at this boastful person. However, when she continued to boast, their expressions turned solemn as they were hit by an unexpected revelation.
"So, the government kind of noticed. So ... consider me as a nation’s asset. I now provide them with pills and the like. You aren’t allowed to tell anyone about that," she seriously shared some details and the three’s reaction was to be expected.
"You ..... wait a minute," Pa Perry who had been maintaining his silence all this time couldn’t take it anymore, he had to make Diamond stop talking for a moment as he felt his blood rush and heart beating in his ears.
Diamond upon seeing that, scratched her head guiltily knowing that she had picked the wrong thing to talk about. She should have started with something lighter. Now see what she had made her family do?
"Okay, as long as you are safe. That’s what matters."
"Don’t let them take advantage of you!"
"Hehe, I will never eat a loss willingly, trust me!"
She might be patriotic but wasn’t foolish and naïve.
By the time they were done with this topic, they have already arrived at the family villa.
After dismissing everyone, the family of four sat together in the living room to continue where they stopped. After all, Diamond still has more to share with them and planned to confess everything.
That way, she wouldn’t have to bring the matters again in the future.
Her mind gets occupied with many things.
It was better for her to deal with such matters once and for all.
And the Perry family members were all ears.
With such willing listeners, Diamond, who loved talking, did what she was good at; talk and share like her life depended on it.
