"Oh, first love, innocent and sweet,
Hearts skipped a beat, in sync, they’d meet.
Hand in hand, we faced the unknown,
First love’s magic forever shone," she sang along to the song, First Love, a twinkle in her eyes as the Dentley D15 smoothly drove on the highway, the airport coming into view.
Another day has passed, and she was on her way to pick up her two friends as well as two crushes of hers.
It’s been a very long time since she saw them. They have been so busy and she was looking quite forward to seeing them this time.
By the time the song ended, she was driving into the parking lot and behind her the sleek black SUVs followed.
She found an empty parking slot, but didn’t alight from the car.
If she dare get out, who knows whom she might meet? She wasn’t in the mood of getting recognized this day.
While waiting for the two to come out, she took out her tablet and started checking on some emails she received. There was so much work to be done and as long as she finds some extra time, she would do some work done.
Amidst responding to the emails, a call came through, [Chief Raya,] and upon seeing the caller, Diamond pondered as she swiped to answer.
’What does the young chief want from me?’
After all, it’s been less than a month or so since their last transaction. They couldn’t have consumed so many pills in such a short period, right?
"Hello, Raya," nevertheless, she greeted the other warmly knowing that the answer would shortly be revealed to her.
[Hello, Diamond. I hope that I didn’t call you at the wrong time?]
A smile appeared on her face, finding Raya’s words quite funny but not unexpected.
"Nope. I am chilling. How may I help you?" she answered, getting straight to the point.
There was no way Raya called her to exchange pleasantries, right?
[That’s good. I called to confirm a few things.]
"What exactly?" she asked, curious about what this governmental official wanted to know.
[You are coming for the auction in Dielas in these coming days, right?]
"Yep. I am coming there. Do you want something?"
[That’s great if you are coming,] there was relief in Raya’s tone which made Diamond puzzled but Raya’s next statement made her realize what was going on. [By any chance, do you have any other kind of pills apart from the ones we have already transacted for?]
Diamond’s brows rose when she heard that. That question came with sounds of ’ching ching,’ in her ears. The sound of money and money she loves it.
However, she couldn’t just outrightly give an answer to Raya. Who knows what these people would think?
So, taking into account some safety measures, she answered, "There are some pills, however, they aren’t that much effective to you guys. But if we are speaking about something that might entice you, I have been concocting advanced healing pills. However, due to the lack of herbs and time, I don’t have much. I am planning on putting a bottle on auction and the rest if you want them, I can sell them to you," and threw out a bait of healing pills.
There was no way she was going to announce about those pills she auctioned on the Mystical market. She didn’t have the power to protect all the people she loved yet. Today, this organization might be working with her, but who knows what will happen tomorrow?
It was better to remain low-key on such matters?
[Advanced healing pills are also good. We want them. We will get as many as you want. How do you want us to pay you this time?]
When that was asked, Diamond didn’t respond but thought hard about the matter. Honestly, with the land currently in her hands, everything that she had envisioned to be built, was already designed and soon would be built.
What should she get from them?
Money. Na, it was better if that money was used by them for something else. She didn’t need their money. So, what should she get from them?
After some thought, she responded, "Let me think about it. We can write this down first. When I think about what I want, you can give it to me. What do you think about that?"
Since she couldn’t come up with anything, Diamond could only come up with such a solution.
[Okay, that works.]
With both parties agreeing, they chatted for a while and finalized the details, before the call ended.
"Son, what do you think I should get from them?" feeling still disturbed by the matter, Diamond asked Andrea.
Shutter. Shutter.
Watching the touching moment, was none other than a certain self-employed media friend, running his own blog. The airport was a good place to find stories. It was a place where unexpected people could be seen which also enriches the quality of news provided to the masses.
Witnessing such a touching and warmhearted reunion, a piece of news was already forming in his head, not knowing how that single piece was going to make him explode in fame.
"I have missed you guys so much," Diamond emotionally spoke as she was held in the two men’s embrace.
Smack.
Planting a kiss on her forehead, Wyatt doting spoke, "I missed you as well," meaning every single word.
Nolan’s smile curled upward as he leaned in for a forehead kiss, pampering this rich friend of theirs who acts lie a child whenever she feels like it.
"Don’t count me out!"
After a touching reunion moment, they parted and Diamond took them to the waiting car.
Once inside, Diamond took the steering wheel, Wyatt sat on the passenger’s seat and Nolan at the back by himself.
As for the luggage, the bodyguards had dealt with that already.
"You are going to Cherry Court, right?" as she put the car in ignition she asked.
"Um, it’s been a while since we have been there," Nolan answered, sounding melancholic, and Wyatt echoed his statement as well.
"Good, because I have already made plans for lunch. I shall be hosting you," she beamingly said, thinking about the instructions eh gave Auntie Janet before her departure that morning.
Upon hearing that, the two men didn’t stand on ceremony and were quite looking forward to that. After all, there was something special about Diamond’s food.
Her food, even the simple kind taste better than the food in those fancy super hotels.
With a clear direction of where to go, the entourage left the airport parking lot, and the media friend faithfully captured the scene, though he planned to blur the number plates. It was easy to get sued for infringing private rights.
He was just a small fry and couldn’t afford to offend big shots
