Raya and the other two didn’t feel like they were being lied to. In fact, the moment Diamond brought up a master, the three started believing the whole thing.
After all, without their masters, how could they even know that there was such another world that ordinary people weren’t aware of?
"My master has always been mysterious. Never left a name, and simply taught me to be independent and work hard. Rather than treating me, she made it that I learn hard, learn how to concoct until I can heal and treat myself."
Raya nodded, as she was reminded of her own master.
Don’t give people fish but teach them how to fish.
That method must have been pretty good. otherwise, a grandmaster might not have been born. Being motivated to work hard in order to live, Raya could already picture how Diamond when she wasn’t working was busy learning to concoct, until she finally made it.
"Anyway, I am very grateful to my master. She really helped me and made me achieve a lot of things, I never thought possible. I guess everything happens for a reason," she didn’t forget to praise her non-existent master, though she was truly grateful to the system and the deity who favored her so that she would become one of the blessed people on the planet.
With the background information Raya and other elders at the organization had been itching to get their hands on, they were finally at ease.
"Where is your master now?"
Diamond shrugged and helplessly respond, "she didn’t even leave her name. How can I possibly know?" looking quite dejected.
Raya sighed as she felt that it was a pity. For someone to teach such an excellent student, the master must be better than Diamond.
It would be great if they attract such a talent and let her serve the country as well. However, such masters couldn’t be forced. They do whatever they want. If you offend them, who knows what they might do to you?
Since the master couldn’t be found, Raya swiftly changed the topic.
"When you have time, drop by the organization. It will be our honor to show you around."
Diamond’s eyes beamed when she heard that. She had always been curious about that and now she had been invited, she wasn’t a fool to turn the invitation down.
"Don’t worry. I will definitely come. Just let me finish what I am doing," she enthusiastically responded.
Currently, her calendar could be said to be empty except for the birthdays of her family and friends. The rest, she hasn’t scheduled anything since she had to deal with Zara. Not knowing when that mission would be marked as complete, she had her timetable clear.
If the mission gets cleared in a few days, going to that organization wouldn’t mess up her plans.
"Then just inform me in advance. I will have everything ready for you."
"Great. I will be looking forward to that."
The conversation went well, and after padding their bellies with delicious food. Diamond finally took out the pills she promised Raya.
With a wave of her hand, several jade bottles appeared, and Raya was no longer as stunned and surprised like the first time.
"Here is everything that you want. And like previously, they all labeled. I also added some bonus body strengthening pills. Consider them my gift to the hardworking soldiers protecting our motherland," Diamond generously said to Raya, as she pointed at the several bottles she had added on top of the order.
Raya felt grateful at Diamond’s generosity. She was like that every time, and those pills were indeed helpful to them.
It wasn’t just the organization but the country’s military would benefit from such as well.
"Thank you very much. I thank you on behalf of the organization."
Diamond nonchalantly waved her hand, a beaming smile on her face as she responded, "Just doing my duty."
And that declaration made Raya, who serves her country with dedication feel happy, and so were the other team leaders.
With the pills handed over and checked, the meal finally came to an end.
Diamond didn’t linger for long at the villa. Once everything was settled, and while waiting for good news from Raya and the organization, she drove away under the envious gaze of the many.
"What did you think about her?" Raya asked as she watched the car disappearing from view.
"I couldn’t sense any power or energy coming from her. She looks like an ordinary person."
"She looks that way, but doesn’t those old monsters seem that way as well?"
"I think that she has mastered a technique that can hide her cultivation."
"Are you even sure that she is a martial artist? What if she is only talented in the alchemy department?"
"Heh, does it look that way to you? No sane person can flaunt such wealth and move around with a small number of bodyguards without a trump card. I do believe that she is like a treasure trove. We will get to see more of what she has, over time. Let us be patient."
Raya listened as her men bickered and became thoughtful as well.
Diamond had no idea about what was happening after she left.
It was considerably late, and wasn’t planning on returning to the manor.
"So, here is to mothers near or far,
Whose endless giving knows no cease.."
