Chapter 194 P
Chapter 194 Exposed
Whitney called Tony, planning to tell hire not to rush back home and to wait a little longer
‘Maybe something good will happen, Whitney thought
But Tony’s phone wasn’t connecting.
Whitney didn’t think much of it at the time
But that evening, Whitney received a call from Klein.
“We need to go back to Harris Manor tonight,” Klein said.
“What’s going on?” Whitney asked.
Whitney was thinking it might be better to wait until the test results came out, and then go back together to watch show
‘Isn’t it a little early for this?’ she wondered.
“Emily and her kid just got kidnapped?” Klein said.
“Huh?” Whitney blinked in confusion.
“Who’d even want to kidnap them?” she asked.
She suddenly thought of a possibility. “Actually, now that I think about it, I tried calling Tony today, but he didn’t answer
Klein paused, thinking. “Don’t mention Tony coming to the office to see you. Let’s pretend we don’t know anything about it I just have this gut feeling something’s really off here.”
Whitney agreed, feeling the same unease.
‘Come on, it’s just a kid. Would Tony, a foreigner, really go so far as to kidnap a kid?’ Whitney wondered
‘He couldn’t even get the kid out of the country if he wanted to, she thought.
‘No matter how you slice it, Tony just isn’t the type to do something like this,’ Whitney concluded.
‘Emily was perfectly fine. How could she suddenly get kidnapped? Whitney thought, feeling baffled.

George was livid, slamming his fist down on the table. “Get to the bottom of this! Who’d dare mess with our family?” Sabrina wiped her tears, her voice trembling. “Emily’s always been good to people. She’s never even fought with anyone. How could anyone do this to her? Those bastards! Cupcake isn’t even eight months old yet! How could anyone be so cruel?” Harris Manor was crawling with police. They put trackers and wiretaps on George, Sabrina, and Carter’s phones, so if the kidnappers called, they could trace it instantly.
The Harris family sent people to scour everywhere and chase down every possible lead.
They were determined to find the kidnapper.
Whitney and Klein showed up in the evening. Lena, who was heavily pregnant, was at Harris Manor, getting ready to leave
with Dustin.
“Whit, you guys came.” Lena called out.
Lena had a lot she wanted to say to Whitney, so she pulled her aside.
“Whit, how could Emily possibly get kidnapped? And as if taking just her wasn’t enough, the kidnapper even took the baby too?” Lena said in disbelief.
Whitney shook her head and said, “I’m not sure. Are we certain it was actually a kidnapping?”
“They said Emily took the baby to get vaccinated. The nanny just stepped away to use the bathroom. When she came back, both Emily and the baby were gone,” Lena explained.
“Their bags were left in the hallway. When we checked the security footage, it showed a man covering Emily’s nose with something, no idea what, and then they disappeared into the emergency exit.”
“There’s no footage at all of how they left the hospital. It’s already been eight hours since they went missing,” Lena added, her voice trembling with worry.
Whitney nodded and said, “You guys should head home for now. Don’t come back for the next few days. Things are pretty chaotic at home. Make sure you look after yourself, alright?”
Lena gave her a playful smile and said, “I will. Whit, you be careful too. I just have this feeling something’s off. Emily always
has something up her sccs Toweld she actually get kidnapped? There’s more to this than meets the eye?
des, it was just a gut feeling Lens had hated Emily czer since they were kids, and she’d never seen Emily get the
short end of the stick
Lena knew Emily even better than Whitney did
If things didn’t add up, there was always something fishy going on if it really was a kidnapping, then it was what it was But if it was all just a setup, then it must be targeting Whitney!
That was exactly why Lena gave Whit a heads up
After their little chat, Lena headed out, and Whitney jogged a few steps catch up with Klein, following him into Harris Manor.
Klein took her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
With Klein next to her, Whitney instantly felt braver
Just as expected, the moment Whitney and Klein walked in together, George’s eyes immediately locked onto Whitney, sizing her up.
“Klein, you came.” George greeted them.
Unlike her husband, Sabrina couldn’t hide her emotions at all.
When it came to people Emily clashed with, Whitney was at the top of the list.
Sabrina’s number one suspect? Whitney, of course.
Especially since her grandson had been taken, Sabrina couldn’t help but suspect Whitney.
Her grandson was so young, just a baby, and now he was gone. Who knew what he might be suffering?
Just imagining that her grandson might never come back made Sabrina’s emotions spiral out of control.
She lunged forward and grabbed Whitney’s hand. “Whitney, Cupcake is just a baby. I’m begging you, please, let him go. As long as Cupcake comes back, I’ll pretend none of this ever happened, okay?”
As soon as Sabrina finished, all eyes in the room snapped to Whitney.
The police’ eyes widened. ‘Did we just crack the case?’ one of them thought.
‘Wait, was this an inside job?’ another officer wondered.
Klein and Carter both spoke up at the same time.
“Sabrina, what are you talking about?” Klein said, his voice/sharp.
“Mom, what are you even saying?” Carter blurted out.
Carter shot Klein a look, and then quickly looked away. “Come on, Mom, why would she ever kidnap Emily? That just doesn’ t make any sense!”
Sabrina was practically losing it. “Then who else could it be, Carter? Who else? Emily’s only ever had bad blood with her. She’s just jealous that Emily stole…”
“That’s enough! Sabrina, apologize to my wife right now!” Klein’s eyes were cold and dangerous, his voice low and threatening. “Apologize. Now.”
George rubbed his forehead, feeling like the whole house was in total chaos.
