Chapter 76
Chapter 76
Whitney had only leaned against him for a moment before she awkwardly realized how out of charac
“Sorry, Klein. I think I got your pajamas a bit messy,” she mumbled, quite embarrassed
Strangely enough, Klein, who’d looked so weak and sick earlier, now had a healthy flush on his cheeks and see revived. Even his forehead wasn’t warm anymore.
Klein’s eyes narrowed as he teased, “It’s really not that bad. Just a little of your tears, and maybe some snot
Whitney was at a loss for words. She shot back. “There was no snot! Seriously, where is the snot?”
‘Come on, that’s not true!‘ Whitney thought, feeling wronged.
“Alright, if you say so,” Klein replied, sounding a little amused.
With a smooth motion, Klein pulled off his shirt, handed it to her and said, “Whit, could you take this up to the laundry room on the third floor for me?”
The moment his shirt was taken off, all hard lines and defined abs were exposed, leaving nothing to the imagination.
Whitney had never imagined Klein could have such a killer body. His skin was cool and tanned, and seeing him shirtless a whole new level of eye candy.
Whitney could feel herself blushing before she even noticed.
“Why aren’t you taking it?” Klein shot her a mischievous grin. “Or am I making you speechless?”
Klein pretended to pull the blanket down a little more, and Whitney quickly turned her back to him.
Without looking, she waved her hand behind her and said, “Just give it to me! I’ll take it to the laundry room!”
Klein’s eyes glimmered with a soft smile and he said,“Much appreciated.”
As soon as she felt the shirt in her hand, she dashed up to the third floor without looking back.
Her breath was all over the place. That was way too much for me, she was still a little shaken.
But halfway up the stairs, she found that something just didn’t feel right.
Who would take off their shirt in the middle of a conversation?‘ Whitney wondered.
‘Is this really a man with a fever?‘ she thought, still trying to wrap her head around it
‘Wait, is he the one with a fever, or am I just losing my mind?‘ Whitney wondered, feeling flustered. Klein was lying there, totally shirtless, and even pulled the blanket down a little more on purpose
His abs, which had been in and out of view, were now even more defined
Klein smiled in satisfaction, watching as Whitney strolled back into the room. “Klein, aren’t you feeling cold?” Whitney asked a little awkwardly.
