Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 505

"Good," Monica nodded, adding earnestly, "Bennett, since you've decided to be with Yvonne, you must treat her with sincerity. We both truly want you two to be happy."

"I understand," Bennett nodded. "The kitchen is clean now. Yvonne hasn't come back down, so I'll go upstairs to check on her."

"Alright. Tell her to come down and watch TV with us. The gala is quite good,' Monica said."

Bennett left the kitchen and strode upstairs.

Yvonne's bedroom was on the second floor.

When Bennett walked in, Yvonne was sitting on the edge of the bed, casually flipping through an old magazine.

As for the law book Monica had mentioned, she hadn't even looked for it.

She knew the book was on the top shelf, which was a hassle to reach. Besides, who would read something like that on a holiday?

"What did my mom want to talk to you about?" Yvonne asked, setting the magazine aside and looking up at Bennett.

Bennett walked over to Yvonne, his tall frame leaning casually against the bookshelf.

"I accidentally called you Vonnie just now, and your mother overheard. She thought I was treating you as a substitute for Vonnie and gave me a stern lecture about how wrong that is."

Yvonne didn't know what to say. After a long pause, she simply replied, "Oh."

Bennett ruffled her hair, a helpless smile on his face. "Your mom wants us to come downstairs and watch the gala."

Yvonne nodded, stood up, and left the room with Bennett, following him downstairs.

In the living room, Monica had just finished cutting up some fruit and was sitting down on the sofa.
