Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 534

After Yvonne’s injury, the show’s director, the other guests, and the cameraman she had saved all came to visit. The hospital room was overflowing with flowers, fruit baskets, and other get-well gifts.

Bennett rummaged through a fruit basket, picked out a bright red apple, and began peeling it with a small knife.

When he finished, Yvonne reached for it, but Bennett playfully dodged her hand and took a bite himself.

“Bennett, how can you bully a patient!” Yvonne pouted, her lips full and red.

Bennett chuckled and held the apple to her lips.

Yvonne opened her mouth wide and took a big bite right where he had.

“It’s pretty sweet,” she said, then took another bite.

“You can eat and drink just fine. I guess the injury isn’t too serious,” Bennett said with a laugh, handing her the rest of the apple.

“I hurt my leg, not my mouth. My appetite is perfectly fine,” Yvonne said, munching on the apple. “Ben, I’m craving tiramisu.”

“Alright, I’ll go get it now. What am I going to do with you?” Bennett tossed the knife back into the fruit bowl, stood up, and headed out.

There were no bakeries near the hospital, so Bennett had to drive across two city blocks to find the tiramisu Yvonne wanted.

He drove back to the hospital and carried the cake box into the elevator.

The hospital was busy in the morning, and the elevator stopped at several floors before finally reaching the VIP ward.

As Bennett stepped out of the elevator, he saw a familiar figure down the hall.

Seeing Mr. Walker in a suburban hospital was certainly suspicious.

Bennett hesitated for a moment, then decided to follow him.

He trailed Mr. Walker down the corridor to a high-end private room at the very end.
