Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 849

“Bennett, the wedding's over. Can we leave now?” Karina asked.

The Whites had tried to ruin the Thompson-Scott wedding, but not only did they fail, they also ended up locked away for hours. It was certainly a humiliating experience.

“Leave?” Bennett exhaled a cloud of smoke, his smile cold. “You think the Thompsons' territory is a place you can just come and go as you please?”

“Bennett, you've already locked up my parents for hours. We're willing to let it go, what more do you want!” Karina snapped.

In all her years married to Noah, Karina had lived a pampered life as Mrs. Thompson. Out of respect for his brother, Bennett had always been reasonably polite to his ex-sister-in-law.

Having never witnessed the full extent of Bennett Thompson's methods, she naturally felt no fear.

Bennett didn't waste his breath arguing with her. He flicked the ash from his cigarette and waved his hand.

The bodyguards beside him understood instantly. They dragged Mr. White aside, and without a word, two of them began raining down punches and kicks.

It was likely the first time Mr. White had ever been beaten. He curled up on the floor under the blows of the well-built bodyguards, howling in pain.

“Robert!”

“Stop! Stop hitting him!”

“Dad!”

“What are you doing? Stop it, I said! Didn't you hear me!”

Mrs. White and her daughter Karina screamed in a panic.

But two towering bodyguards blocked their path, making it impossible for them to get near Mr. White.

After speaking, Bennett turned to the head of his security detail.

“Send them back to the White estate. And assign two men to Nicola for close protection. If so much as a single hair on her head is harmed…”

Bennett didn't finish his sentence, but his meaning was perfectly clear. If anything happened to Nicola, the Whites would face severe consequences.

Mr. White was a wreck, battered and in pain.

Losing control, Karina shoved past the bodyguard blocking her and rushed to Mr. White's side.

“Dad! Dad, how are you?” Seeing her father's battered state, she lost her composure and pointed a finger at Bennett, screaming.

“Bennett, you've gone too far! If anything happens to my father, I'll never let you get away with this!”
