Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 858

“So what do we do now?” Mrs. Walker asked, her worried gaze shifting between Yolanda and her pregnant belly.

Vincent didn't have any good ideas at the moment. His own position in the city was precarious, and pulling strings for Eden wouldn't be easy.

Besides, Eden might not even appreciate the effort.

“Let’s see what the Thompson family does first. If Frank is willing to save his son, we’ll lend a hand. But if Frank doesn’t care whether Eden lives or dies, then Eden is a useless pawn.”

“Then what about Yolanda and the baby?”

Mrs. Walker asked anxiously.

“If Eden is sentenced, Yolanda should divorce him. My daughter will not be married to a convict. As for the child… she should have an abortion. It would only be a burden on Yolanda to raise it.”

Vincent let out a long sigh and stood up.

“You make it sound so simple! An abortion is so damaging to a woman's body, and Yolanda's health is already fragile. What if something goes wrong?”

Mrs. Walker's eyes were filled with worry, but Vincent just grabbed his coat, eager to leave. He tossed a dismissive reply over his shoulder, “An abortion is a minor procedure. With so many top obstetricians in the country, what could possibly happen? Stop worrying about nothing.”

With that, Vincent grabbed his coat and walked out.

April was due to give birth soon, and although she was an older mother, both she and the baby were perfectly healthy.

Vincent’s mind was completely consumed with the impending birth of his son, leaving him with no energy to spare for Mrs. Walker or their daughter.

“But didn’t you say Dad has a low sperm count and can't have children?” Yolanda asked, confused.

“It means it's hard, not impossible. How do you think you got here? What if he found some young, healthy woman and she actually gave him an illegitimate son? What place would we have in the Walker family then?” Mrs. Walker fretted.

When Mrs. Walker gave birth to Yolanda, the Walker family had been deeply dissatisfied because she was a girl with a congenital health defect.

But since Vincent had a low sperm count and never managed to have another child, Yolanda had been doted on by the entire family.

If Vincent had other children, Yolanda would be cast aside. With her poor health, she would be left to fend for herself.

“No, I can't let that happen. I’m going to hire a private investigator to look into this. If your father really has produced a bastard, we need to be prepared,” Mrs. Walker declared, immediately grabbing her phone. She called a familiar private investigator and paid a hefty sum to have Vincent’s movements tracked.
