Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 882

After his feeding, the baby fell asleep again. Vincent asked the night nurse to take the baby to the adjoining room so he could talk properly with April.

"April, my love, you've suffered."

April pouted, still looking deeply hurt and refusing to speak. Though she was no longer a young woman, she was still more than a decade younger than Vincent and enjoyed being doted on and playing coy with him.

Vincent reached out and stroked her hair, happy to indulge her.

"I never expected her to find you at the hospital. This was my mistake. But I promise, nothing like this will ever happen again. You've just given birth, so don't be angry. Once you've recovered, I'll arrange for you and our son to live abroad for a while."

April looked up at him, stunned. "Are you trying to get rid of us so quickly? Are you afraid that our son and I will get in the way of your 'happy family'?!"

"Don't jump to conclusions. If I could, I would stay by your side and our son's forever," Vincent said, tightening his embrace.

He wasn't lying.

Vincent truly did love April, and now they had a son together.

If the Walker family were still as powerful and influential as they once were, he would have even considered divorcing Mrs. Walker to marry April and give their son a legitimate name.

"But something doesn't feel right. For your safety and our son's, it's better for you to go abroad for a while. If anything happens here, you and our son can settle there permanently. I will arrange everything for you."

"Vincent, is something wrong? Don't scare me!" April asked nervously.

April had been with Vincent for over a decade; she knew more than a little about his affairs.

Two days prior, doctors had given her a full check-up. The results showed that all of her kidney function indicators were worse than before her pregnancy, hovering at critical levels. If her kidney function continued to decline, she could face renal failure, or even total kidney necrosis.

If that happened, Yolanda would be facing her third kidney transplant.

But with Yolanda’s rare Rh-negative blood, finding a matching donor was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Moreover, with the fall of the Rogers family, no one would dare to use a kidney from a questionable source for her surgery.

Mrs. Walker was worried sick, but she didn't dare show a hint of it in front of Yolanda.

She hadn't even told Yolanda that Vincent now had an illegitimate son, terrified that the shock would cause Yolanda's fragile health to deteriorate further.

When Vincent returned, Mrs. Walker was in the middle of feeding Yolanda some rich bone broth.
