“Hazel, look over there.” Anya gasped in surprise.

Everyone’s gaze, including Gabriel’s, was drawn to the appearance of someone as powerful as the Director of Security.

Meanwhile, the Norwood family immediately seized their momentary distraction to rush over to Evan.

She had noticed something off about the Norwood family’s behavior.

“What is it? Is something the matter?” A cryptic smile spread across Evan’s face as he gazed back at James and the

rest.

Everyone in the Norwood family was beside themselves with fury. Unfortunately, they were hopelessly outgunned, so they could roll over and show their bellies.

The trio stared at Evan for a while before finally lowering their proud gazes. “Evan, we’re really sorry. We promise to never play favorites again. We’ll treat you the same as Darius!” They spoke in unison.

Darius was the last one to speak.

His eyes were bloodshot, shining with a slew of complicated emotions. He said nothing as he solemnly stared at

Evan for a few moments.

When he parted his lips to speak, he couldn’t help but stumble over his words, saying, “Evan, I’m don’t send me to the authorities. I don’t want to die…”
