Chapter 311 The Real Records
“Here’s Mr. Norwood’s real transfusion record! See for yourself!”
The nurse gave them the complete and uncut records. The pages were filled with the name of the donor, Evan Norwood. The heiresses counted every line up to the final 100th line.
Reality hit them like a lightning bolt. Their eyes turned blank as they froze. However, their gazes were still fix on the page. They stared at it for a long time and kept staring at it until their eyes turned dry… until the reality it all sank in.
Evan donated his blood 100 times, and the dates all matched up. The heiresses noticed that the day he gave his blood for the 100th time was the same day he left them.
Memories of the past flooded their minds. Zeke’s condition slipped severely that day, and he desperately neede surgery. The heiresses dragged Evan without even asking and made him give his blood.
However, Evan refused to cooperate with them. He said he’d never donate his blood anymore, and they slapped him in a fit of rage. Evan’s rebellion soured their mood, and they made the doctor take more blood so Zeke’s surgery would go smoother.
“You make it sound like he was stung by a bee! For God’s sake, you nearly killed him!” The nurse flew into a rag She was right there that day. Right now, she wasn’t just a mere spectator or an indifferent staff member. No, no she was speaking as a medical professional.
The heiresses trembled. They, too, remembered the ungodly amount of blood they took from Evan that day. They’d gone dangerously beyond his limit, but they didn’t stop at all. Instead, they were all of the mind that Zeke’s chances would be better if he had more blood.
The nurse raised her voice, yelling shrilly, “I told you the patient’s health was at risk, but you didn’t even try to stop the doctor! No, you even pushed Mr. Norwood down and refused to let him go!”
All the color drained from the heiresses’ faces as their breathing turned ragged. Their eyes turned to the bed in the deepest corner. It was as if they could still see a pale Evan convulsing there.
They could see the large syringe piercing his sickly blue skin, and the dash of crimson that flowed out of his veins made their eyes bulge. The heiresses could feel Evan’s pain, and shivers swept across their souls.
Hazel couldn’t breathe. The trio couldn’t believe they’d done that to Evan. What they’d done was rotten to the core And then even more details about that day surfaced in their minds.
Roxanne wanted Evan to travel halfway across Silverton just to get/Zeke’s favorite pastry despite the fact that he’d just barely survived a deadly procedure. Hazel even gave Evan’s most treasured pendant to Zeke.
They felt no guilt doing all those back then. In fact, they thought they had the moral high ground and had told Evan off for being unreasonable. Now, the memories of their monstrosity chilled their blood.
Eventually, the heiresses began regaining their composure. Still, anyone with eyes could tell that their breathing was far from even.
Roxanne said tremulously, “Evan’s already trying to leave us since that day, Hazel. Perhaps even earlier than that!

She glanced at the records again. “The 100th transfusion was the catalyst, and everything else that happened pushed Evan to the brink. That’s why he left us.”
Anya was sobbing. “Please, stop talking. I shouldn’t have said that to him. I kept using the favor to make him bow
