Sorry Too Late (by J.J. Twelve) novel Chapter 313

Chapter 313 It’s Unbelievable

The heiresses recognized that face. “Zeke?” They couldn’t believe he was the culprit. Their blood turned to ice ir their veins.

Anya thought she was seeing things, so she rewound the video and replayed it. It was still Zeke’s face, and now i was even clearer. After all, the heiresses had purchased the very clothes and shoes he was wearing in the footage

Zeke left after ripping the pages out.

Silence gripped the control room like a vice, strangling their very breaths. The heiresses stood like statues that were seemingly petrified by Medusa’s stare. Their minds were filled with white noise. Hazel thought she was going mad.

The hospital trip earlier was for a checkup, but they left the appointment uncovering hidden secrets. First, they’ finally learned the truth behind the 100 transfusions and that Evan was the one they’d been trying to find.

Now, they discovered that Zeke was the one who ripped out the diary pages. They naturally connected the dots an realized that he was also the one who deleted Evan’s transfusion records.

This was a spiral that led to more darkness, and the heiresses were hit hard.

“Is that really Zeke? Why? Why’d he do that? That’s not the man we know!”

The heiresses tried to accept the truth, but it was such a bitter pill to swallow. Zeke’s duality terrified them.

He seemed to be a gentle, soft-spoken man on the outside, but beneath all that… They now knew that he would rip out pages and delete records just to keep the truth hidden from them. He’d been wearing a mask all this time.

This chasm between his real self and his mask was unbelievable. Now, they had no idea which one was the true Zeke.

Although it was normal for everyone to have a dark side, it was still scary for them to learn that the Zeke they thought they knew was a fake, and the Zeke in the footage was the real one.

“He probably didn’t want us to find out how much blood Evan has given,” said Hazel. “That way, he can make Evan give him unlimited blood for a longer time.”

“Yeah.” Roxanne and Anya nodded but didn’t add more to the discussion.

Zeke hid the truth and made Evan give his blood 100 times, maybe even more than that. His actions were tantamount to murder. Only now did the heiresses recall that Evan didn’t refuse the transfusion that much the first few times.

Everything changed after the fifth time. Evan told them Zeke wanted to kill him over and over again. He’d confided in them and told them that Zeke radiated bloodlust when the heiresses weren’t around.

The heiresses thought Evan had gone mad. Anya called him delusional. However, now it seemed that he had been telling the truth. The realization made the heiresses shiver.

One man alone could never destroy Evan, but the heiresses lent him their aid. Only now did they understand that Zeke had been lying to them all along. He had been lying about marrying them after he got better.

He just wanted them to make Evan give him his blood. They had been played like the cheap mariachi band they

were.

Evan was the one who had been unfailingly kind to them. He gave them everything he had, including his blood.
