Tobias shouted injustice, "I really didn’t care About her and so didn’t she. I wanted to hold her, and only when I touched her hand, I was slapped with her backhand. Her action was too fast and I couldn't react, so I was caught and couldn’t fight back of course."

Tobias muttered, "Why didn't I feel that her movements were so agile before? Her strength was really fucking huge that when her slap fell on my face, it felt painful and I could feel my face was swelling up."

There was resentment in Maxine's eyes, and she said bitterly, "My family and I are reluctant to touch even one strand of your hair, but Roxane dares to hit you. Just wait. One day, I will double the slap for you, so it’s fair."

She said softly to Tobias again, "Does it hurt? Go and sit down on the sofa. I will help you apply some ice cubes."

Tobias held her, first handed her the bouquet of flowers, and said affectionately, "Maxine, this bouquet of flowers should have been given to you, I chose this bouquet according to what you like but would you don't mind accepting it?"
