Chapter 518 Malrik’s Back
Chapter 518 Malrik’s Back
She turned to Corvin and warned him, “You dragged me into that group, so you better make sure they never find out it was me.”
Corvin suddenly had nothing to say.
Before Emma could even catch her breath, she heard Edric calling her from outside.
“Coming,” Emma answered, then gave Corvin’s car a quick pinch. “Make sure you pull me in.” She knew. Corvin always had a way to sneak her into any group without Lucien and the others noticing.
She said it and stepped out of the room. The moment she pushed the door open and saw the man standing in the living room, she froze. “Malrik!”
Emma lit up, her eyes locked on the man waiting for her.
Malrik stood in the middle of the room, his long black hair falling like silk down his back. The two undone buttons on his shirt revealed a clean line of his neck that caught the light in a way that almost didn’t look real. There was a cold, breathtaking beauty to him.
“Ms. Tibarn.” Malrik’s hands trembled when he saw her. His heart hammered in his chest, one heavy beat after another. He closed the distance in a few quick steps. His dark eyes held a shimmer that looked like a sky full of stars, a pull that felt impossible to resist.
He took Emma’s hand, and his eyes were a bit red. His deep voice was roughened by how hard he was trying to steady himself. “I’m back.”
Emma curled her fingers around his and looked up at him. Her lashes were shaking. “You’re fully recovered?”
“Yeah.” Malrik nodded hard. His grip tightened around her hand as he looked at her. “I’m good now.”
When I was taken back to the Enchanter Clan, I thought my life was really over, that I’d never see Emma again. But I didn’t expect she’d come for me, bringing Lucien and the others along. The whole thing… wasn’t exactly smooth. But thankfully, it’s all behind me now. I’m back, back in one piece.
Emma looked at Malrik’s reddened eyes and the raw vulnerability and dependence shining in them. Her heart completely melted. She reached out, letting the warmth of her fingertips brush gently against the corner of his eye, then pulled him into a firm hug. She whispered, “Welcome home.”
Home?
That single word made Malrik’s eyes well up all over again.
Yeah, I have a home now–a home with Ms. Tibarn. I’m not alone
anymore.
“Ms. Tibarn, thank you. Thank you for not giving up on me.” Malrik held Emma tight, soaking in the warmth he thought he’d lost forever. A calm satisfaction unlike anything he’d ever felt settled over him.
“Cough, cough…”

Chapter 518 Malrik’s Back
Emma was about to speak when a sudden cough cut through the room.
Then, Alaric’s slightly sheepish voice came. “Uh… sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt.”

He was standing a short distance away, looking a little awkward. “I need to check Emma’s condition and top off her energy. I’ve got to hurry back to prepare some medicine, so…. we should probably start now.”
Hearing that, Emma quickly let go of Malrik. She almost forgot they were in the living room.
Malrik glanced at his enfpty arms before turning to Alaric. The moment he saw Alaric’s face, his dark eyes narrowed sharply.
Why is this fox even here? And dressed like that…
After letting go of Malrik, Emma quickly masked her embarrassment with a smile and said to Alaric, “Thanks for dealing with that, Alaric.”
Alaric walked over and shook his head with a grin. “Honestly, it’s no trouble at all for you.”
He then gestured toward the couch nearby. “Emma, why don’t you take a seat on the couch for a bit? I’m worried standing this long might wear you out.”
“Okay.” Emma nodded, then looked over at Malrik. “Malrik, you just rushed over. You must be tired too. Come sit on the couch for a while.”
Malrik tore his gaze away from Alaric and gave Emma a slight nod. “Alright, I’ll listen to you.”
Emma smiled at him.
He’s pretty obedient. Seeing Malrik like this reminds me of him being a pink bunny. Back then, he was just as well- behaved. Whatever I asked him to do, he would do without question.
Once Emma settled onto the couch, Alaric first checked her over, then used a device to monitor the cub inside her. When he confirmed everything looked fine, he gently took her hand and started transferring the ability into her.
He sat down, and his exposed collarbone caught Emma’s eye.
That’s when she noticed he had changed. The white robe from this morning was gone, replaced by a simple white top. The neckline was a little low, and as he leaned forward slightly, she could just make out the shape of his chest.
That teasing hint of skin, combined with his cool, almost ethereal face, created a strange mix of restraint and subtle, raw sexiness.
