Chapter 546 Taking Care of Emma
As soon as Emma stepped inside, she was almost blinded by the glitter of crystals.

Before she could even make out what kinds of crystals were inside, vines suddenly burst up from the ground and bound her tightly to a chair.
Silas bent down and gently kissed Emma’s carlobe. “Emma, I’ve sealed this place with vines. No one can get in.”
The vines beneath her feet sprouted tender buds, lightly brushing against her ankles and bringing a faint, ticklish sensation…
“Silas, I’m still pregnant with the babies,” Emma reminded him.
“I know.” Silas‘ breathing was a little unsteady.
He kneeled on one knee in front of her, his fingertips gently stroking her cheek.
“I’ve said it before. I’m not a beast.” Emma pressed her lips together. Right now, he looked very much like one.
An hour later, Remy had finished absorbing the energy from the beast cores and was curled up contentedly in Drake’s arms, letting out a satisfied little burp.
“I’m full, Daddy Alaric.” He was still a young vine who couldn’t eat regular food yet, so his meals consisted of the energy derived from beast cores.
Alaric looked at the five Rank 6 beast cores that had been completely drained and clicked his tongue. “You’ve only just awakened your form, and you’re already absorbing Rank 6 beast
cores.”
It seemed outrageous. Was this the kind of offspring born from a human and a therian, one that pushed the latter’s genes closer to perfection?
If that were true, then by the Beast God’s own words…
Would Emma give birth to the next Beast God? Would it be this little one, or the little phoenix still growing in Emma’s belly?
“Remy, I won the crystal you wanted.” Lucien placed a blue, unpolished crystal into Remy’s little cart. Remy glanced at it, thinking the particular shade of blue resembled the color of

Earth.
If it were shaped like Earth, Emma would definitely like it.
“Thank you, Daddy.”

Remy had Corvin store the crystal for him first. He didn’t have a storage band yet, so he couldn’t put it away yet.
“Where’s Emma and Silas?” Corvin asked as he put the crystal away, looking around. It had already been an hour, but they were nowhere to be found. Why hadn’t they returned yet?
Marcus said, “This auction house belongs to Silas. He probably took Ms. Tibarn to the warehouse to pick things out.”
“What?” Corvin was shocked. “This auction house belongs to Silas? Why didn’t you say so, Marcus?”
He had seen several energy stones here that he really wanted, but someone else had bought them all. If he had known this place belonged to Silas, he could’ve just asked him for it.
As soon as Corvin finished speaking, Silas and Emma returned. Silas had an arm around Emma’s waist, the two of them looking very close. A faint blush colored Emma’s cheeks, like apples kissed by the evening glow.
Corvin pressed his lips together. How annoying.
Judging by how Emma looked, Silas had definitely fooled around with her.
“Mommy!” Remy, who had been behaving quietly in Alaric’s arms, lit up the moment he saw Emma. He immediately stretched out his chubby little arms.
“I want a hug, Mommy!” Hearing Remy call her, Emma was just about to step forward to hold him.
Silas, who was standing beside her, stretched out his long arm and directly took Remy from Alaric’s embrace instead.
Remy was dumbfounded, and he looked at Silas in confusion. His deep blue eyes blinked, and because Emma hadn’t carried him, he puffed out his cheeks, clearly a little unhappy.
Silas reached out and gently pinched his chubby cheek, explaining in a soft voice, “Your mother has been walking around all night. She’s tired, so let me hold you.”
That single sentence instantly calmed Remy down. Since his mother was tired, he’d let his

Since Emma did not have to carry Remy, Corvin was just about to step forward and take her hand. But Lucien, Malrik, and Calum moved like a gust of wind, surrounding Emma in an
instant.
“Emma, you’ve been out for so long. You must be tired,” Calum said worriedly as he looked at her. “I’ll carry you back.”
Alaric leaned in a little closer. Seeing the faint redness on Emma’s face, he took out a bag of slightly chilled fruit juice from his storage band and inserted a straw before handing it to her.
“Ms. Tibarn, you haven’t had any water since you came out. You must be thirsty. Here, have some apple juice. I know it’s your favorite.”
Over the past few days, Alaric had gone to Edric and learned a lot about Emma’s preferences. That was how he knew she liked apple juice.
At first, Alaric hadn’t known what an apple was. After Edric showed him one, he learned it was a type of exotic fruit. Perhaps, in Emma’s hometown, this rare fruit was called an apple.
“Thank you.” Emma took the juice Alaric handed her. Indeed, she felt rather thirsty. She had eaten Silas‘ petals earlier, but those petals didn’t quench thirst.
“Praise suits me better than thanks, Ms. Tibarn.” Alaric looked at Emma, his eyes filled with undisguised ambition and affection.
“Can you tone it down a bit?” Malrik couldn’t stand it anymore. “Ms. Tibarn doesn’t even know how to respond to that.”
