“AM” Corvin jumped in fright, almost throwing the lightcore device from his hand.

“Emma, you scared me again.”

Emma refused to admit it. “When I came in just now, I didn’t even try to walk quietly. You were too focused on messaging Silas. You

didn’t see me come in.”

Emma took Corvin’s lightcore and gently held his chin.

“For something like this, do you really need to ask Silas? How could I not go back with you?”

Corvin’s eyes lit up. “Emma, does that mean you’ll go back with me?”

Emma nodded. “Of course. I have to let your cousins see how well I treat you. I’ll make them all jealous.”

“Emma, you’re the best!” Corvin happily wrapped his arms around Emma. “After dinner, I’ll go pack my things.”

Emma smiled and nodded. “I’ll pack with you.”

If they were going to visit the Ravaryn Tribe, they definitely had to bring gifts.

“What are you packing for?” Alaric’s voice suddenly came from the kitchen doorway.

“Alaric!” When Emma saw the man standing at the kitchen entrance, a flash of surprise crossed his eyes. “You’re back from Beast God Mountain!”

Alaric walked over quickly and pulled Emma into his arms.

“Yeah, I’m back.” He looked at Emma seriously. “Are you happy to see me?”

“Of course I’m happy.” Emma smiled, “I’m actually very surprised. Didn’t you tell me yesterday that you wouldn’t be back for another two days?”

“I missed you too much, so I sped things up. I didn’t stop for a moment and came back early.”

Alaric quickly kissed Emma on the cheek. Then, he let her go and asked, “I heard you two talking about packing. Are you going somewhere?”

Corvin explained, “I asked Emma to go back to the Ravaryn Tribe with me tomorrow.”

“I see!” Alaric nodded and smiled at Emma. “On my way back, Silas told me that something happened to you on the night of the Celestara Gala. Emma, after dinner, let me check your body.”

Alaric had already heard about Emma forming a bond with Kieran, advancing in rank, and laying two egg cubs during a previous call with her.

But Emma hadn’t told him about what happened during the Celestara Gala, afraid that it’d only worry him.

“Okay, let’s do it after dinner.” Emma smiled and nodded. She hadn’t expected Silas to tell Alaric about it.

Alaric held Emma’s hand and led her outside.
