Chapter 721 My Turn
Even though Clarence fought back with all his strength, he was still surrounded by the seawater.
The crushing water pressure closed in from all directions, making it difficult for him to breathe.
“You can’t kill me. The Beast God will punish you.” Clarence stared at Kieran as he forced the words out.
Kieran’s figure appeared before Clarence. His long, jade–like hand shot out and gripped Clarence’s throat.
“Whether the Beast God punishes me or not doesn’t matter. Today, I’m going to kill you either way.”

The crisp sound of breaking bones echoed eerily in the silent vacuum of space.
Clarence’s eyes widened, and the light in them quickly faded. He had never expected Kieran to actually kill him so decisively.
Kieran looked at Clarence’s lifeless body and released his grip.
A stream of water wrapped around the corpse. The immense water pressure instantly crushed it, reducing it to nothing.
In the end, it would become nothing more than tiny specks of dust drifting through the endless galaxy.
Alaric, who had been watching the spectacle from not far away, saw that Clarence had died just like that.
He walked over and looked at Kieran’s calm, indifferent expression, clicking his tongue.
“Looks like Silas was right. When it comes to killing Clarence, leaving it to you really is the simplest and most convenient way.”
Among the five of them, Clarence’s cultivation level had been the lowest. For Kieran, killing him wasn’t difficult.
Kieran glanced at Alaric. His slender fingers moved slightly, drawing over a stream of water to wash the bloodstains from his clothes.
Only then did he speak. “I don’t like killing.”
It was precisely because he didn’t like killing–or fighting others–that he had always played the role of a quiet, easily bullied therian who barely spoke and had little presence.
He had performed that role perfectly. If he hadn’t revealed himself in front of Emma, none of them would have ever discovered his true identity, except for Silas.
Even now, Kieran still didn’t know how Silas had uncovered his secret. He even knew he could kill Clarence with ease.
After hearing Kieran’s answer, Alaric rolled his eyes in exasperation. “Who actually likes killing?”
He made it seem like the rest of them enjoyed it.
Alaric said to Kieran, “There’s no rush when it comes to killing people. Given how Clarence used that device on Emma, he deserved
to die.”
He then added, “You should start thinking about how you’re going to explain this to the Beast God, though.”

After all, Clarence had come from Beast God Mountain.

Even though the Beast God had already stripped them of their status as successors, he had been a candidate.
Now that Kieran had killed him just like that, the Beast God would definitely be angry to some degree.
“Silas told me to kill him,” Kieran said with an innocent expression. “If the Beast God wants to blame someone, he should blame Silas instead.”
He had only followed orders. If anyone had to take responsibility for this, it should be Silas.
Just as Kieran and Alaric were about to look for Emma, a sudden chill swept over them.
Andre appeared in front of Kieran. “Since you’re done fighting Clarence, it’s my turn now.”
Kieran was speechless.
“I forgot. There’s still this lunatic here,” Alaric remarked.
He patted Kieran on the shoulder sympathetically. “Good luck with that. I’m going to find Emma first.”
On the airship, Corvin rushed over and carefully examined the silver ring on Emma’s wrist. Only a small portion of the ring was visible, with the rest wrapped tightly by Silas‘ vine.
Corvin studied it closely for a while.
“Corvin, are you able to unlock it?” Lucien asked.
Corvin nodded. “It shouldn’t be a big problem, though it’s a bit troublesome. I’ll need Silas‘ cooperation.”
Silas nodded. “Sure, I’ll cooperate.”
Corvin took out a pile of tools from his storage band. They were all extremely delicate, miniature tools.
He asked Silas to adjust the vine so that a small section of the ring was exposed–no more and no less. There had to be enough space to work, but not so much that Emma might get hurt.
“Honestly, there’s nothing very technical about this thing. The process of unlocking it is just a bit complicated.”
If he wasn’t careful, the person wearing it could easily get hurt again.
As Corvin spoke, his hands never stopped moving. He worked with effortless confidence, and watching him made everyone feel
reassured.
About ten minutes later, a crisp click sounded from the silver ring.
“All done.”
Corvin told Silas to loosen his vine. Then, he removed the silver ring from Emma’s wrist.
“I’ll keep this thing for myself and modify it into a small weapon.”

There was so much explosive material inside that throwing it away would be a waste. Corvin carefully stored the silver ring away.
After withdrawing his vine, Silas quietly hid his hand inside his sleeve. Emma noticed the movement and immediately grabbed his
wrist.
“Silas, let me see your hand.”
Silas‘ body stiffened slightly. Instinctively, he tried to pull back, attempting to hide the condition of his hand.
“Don’t hide.” Emma firmly held onto him, refusing to let go. With her other hand, she carefully lifted his sleeve.
Hiss!
When she saw Silas‘ mangled fingers, Emma sucked in a sharp breath. The flesh on his fingers had almost been completely torn apart, blood pouring everywhere.
Between the shredded flesh, the broken white bones inside were clearly visible, streaked with blood. It was horrifying and
gruesome.
Emma only looked once, but it felt as though an invisible hand had seized her heart, squeezing it so tightly that she could barely breathe from the pain.
