Chapter 735 A Packed Schedule
Chapter 735 A Packed Schedule
“I’ll wrap up these two pieces of wood for you right away. Would you like any other wood as well?”
“Wrap these two up first. I’ll take a look at the rest in a moment,” Emma responded.
The selection here was incredibly complete. Many of the woods were things Emma had never seen before.
At a glance, she had already picked out several pieces that would be perfect for Kieran and the others.

Jim watched Emma excitedly selecting the wood, a little confused. After hesitating for a moment, he walked over and asked her, “What are you going to do with all this wood?”
Emma smiled at him. “I’m going to make wooden carvings. I promised to make puppets for Corvin and the others, but I hadn’t found the right wood until now, so I never got around to it.”
Puppets? What was that?
Jim didn’t know.
He glanced at Corvin, who had gone to pay, and felt a bit envious.
To receive a gift personally made by Emma–what incredible luck!
“Jim.” Emma noticed him daydreaming and called out to him. “What’s your beast form? Show me your beast form, and I’ll make a wooden puppet of it for you too.”
“I…” Jim pressed his lips together. Of course he’d be happy to get a wooden puppet personally made by Emma. But his beast form…
He didn’t say anything.
Emma glanced at him. “If you don’t want to show me, that’s fine. I won’t make the puppet
for you
either.”
Why wouldn’t he show her his beast form? Was it too ugly?
She decided that when Jim wasn’t around, she’d quietly ask Kieran about it.
Jim was rather upset when he realized he wasn’t going to receive a puppet.
Meanwhile, Emma spent more than two hours browsing through the lumber shop. Finally, she had purchased all the wood she wanted.
‘This way, once we get back, I can start making the puppets for
you all.”
Emma stepped out of the lumber shop satisfied, then went to nearby stores to buy some cooking spices.
In the Interstellar Empire, many therians couldn’t tell which ingredients were meant for cooking. A lot of them were either mixed in with raw herbs or blended into exotic plants.
Every time Emma needed spices, she didn’t have to go to a food market–she could just go to an exotic plant shop or an herb shop and find exactly what she wanted.

By the time she finished shopping, it was already noon.
Emma was hungry as well.
The group boarded the airship and began heading back.
Gaellard, who had been following all morning, sighed weakly as he watched Emma returning
“How can she shop so much? It’s been the whole morning, and she doesn’t even look tired.”
Even a Rank 14 therian like him felt exhausted. Similarly, Jim was so tired he could have collapsed on the ground.
Andre glanced at Gaellard with disdain. “How pathetic.”
They had barely walked that far.
Therians of their level didn’t get tired from shopping all morning. Heck, they could walk nonstop for days and still not feel fatigued.
Gaellard gave Andre a blank stare.
“You emotionless ice cube, how could you understand us warm–blooded beasts? The worst is having to follow a female around while she shops.”
Aimlessly wandering around really was exhausting.
Andre said nothing, silently following behind Emma’s spacecraft.
Once back on the airship, Emma first sorted and organized all the wood she had bought. Then, she took the spices she had just purchased to the kitchen.
“We’re making fried chicken for lunch.”
There were no chickens in the Interstellar Empire, but there was a small beast similar to a chicken.
t looked a lot like a chicken, and the texture of its meat was similar too—just ten times bigger.
Emma liked to eat this type of beast, so Kieran kept a few of them.
When Emma said she wanted fried chicken, Kieran immediately took out a few, cleaned them, and handed them to her.
He was the fastest at handling ingredients. Water in his hands could become sharp blades or simply be used to wash the food. With him helping in the kitchen, preparing ingredients became much easier.
Emma marinated the cleaned chicken with her homemade spices.
Then, she had Corvin open the warship’s doors and told Jim to stand guard at the entrance–if Gaellard came by, he couldn’t let nim in.
She also had Alaric set up the table on the deck. The weather was nice today, so they would have lunch on the deck.
Silas was still in a meeting, and Lucien seemed to have just woken up. His clothes were loose and casual as he walked into the kitchen.
Seeing Emma cooking, he washed his hands and came over to help.

She didn’t believe him for a second. If this weren’t the kitchen, she might have been tempted to rip off his loose clothes right then and there.
“Since you’re here, don’t just stand there. Get to work,” Emma said, glaring at him and handing over the task.
Her glance carried no real threat, but it was enough to make Lucien smile as he took the tools from her hands. The warmth in his eyes seemed to envelop the room.
Emma showed Lucien how to work with the ingredients.
When the oil in the pan reached the right temperature, she had him carefully place the marinated, breaded chicken into the pan. Soon, the bold, irresistible aroma of fried chicken filled the entire kitchen.
