The two little cubs were completely unharmed, sitting at the very top of the rubble like they were cheering themselves on for their pinpoint bombing skills.
“This… this is…” Lucien quickly scrambled off Jim and pulled him up.
This room is a gold-and-glam, over-the-top interior style.
Once Lucien took in everything in the room, his heart gave a sudden jolt.
This is Drake’s room.
Just then, the bathroom door clicked open.
Drake stepped out of the mist, wearing only a white towel around his waist. His hair was still dripping wet. His expression was calm and distant.
His gaze landed on the collapsed bed, the two extra adult males in the room, and the two little cubs.
He stayed silent for a moment, then said, “Lucien.”
Drake’s voice carried no emotion, but it held the natural pressure of a Drakonid.
Lucien gave an awkward tug at the corner of his mouth and forced a polished, professional smile. “Uh… Drake, this really isn’t on us. It’s just that these two cubs missed you so much they took a shortcut to see you. We also helped you test the load capacity of your bed while we were at it.”
“Heh.” Drake looked at his shattered bed and took a slow breath. Then he pointed toward the door and said coldly, “Get out.”
“Got it, we’re out!” Lucien reacted instantly. He grabbed the two little cubs, yanked Jim along, and shot out of Drake’s room so fast it was almost like teleporting.
The moment he stepped onto the hallway carpet, he immediately pulled out the box given by the Beast God and snapped it open without hesitation.
With a soft hum, a pale golden wave expanded outward from Lucien as the center, forming a spherical barrier that rapidly enveloped the entire castle.
In an instant, Lucien sensed the unstable spatial fluctuations in the air lock, as if they had been frozen solid.
He looked down at the two little cubs in his arms. Fine golden threads had emerged from the void, like electronic cuffs, snapping neatly onto the cubs’ restless wings with a sharp click.
One of the little cubs was just about to flap again, but the moment his wings twitched, the golden light forced them back down.
The cub looked confused. His expression was a mix of bewilderment, shock, and deep frustration that his ability had just been
sealed.
Lucien let out a long breath and slumped against the wall, looking completely drained, like he had been wrung dry
Jim, standing beside him, also let out a relieved sigh.

“Lucien? Jim? Why are you standing outside Drake’s room?” Emma’s voice suddenly came from the direction of the floating elevator.
When Emma showed up wrapped up from head to toe, Lucien straightened immediately and walked over to her. Emma, why are you up so early today?”
“I wasn’t feeling good leaving the two cubs alone, so I came to check on them,” she explained.
It wasn’t that she woke up early. She barely slept at all that night. What happened yesterday left her shaken.
She was scared that if she fell asleep, she would suddenly be transported somewhere unknown again. So she didn’t really rest well. Thankfully, nothing happened through the night.
Now that it was just after dawn, she couldn’t wait any longer and came straight to see the two cubs.
“Did the two cubs do anything outrageous last night?” she asked.
At that, Lucien and Jim exchanged a look.
“Things were mostly fine last night. There was a bit of trouble, but Silas handled it,” Lucien explained.
Hearing that there had been trouble again, Emma’s heart tightened. “The two little cubs sent you guys somewhere again?”
Lucien nodded. “Not me, though. They sent Marcus and Jim away first…”
He briefly went over what happened the night before.
After hearing everything, Emma’s eye twitched hard.
This… this kind of mess, this much humiliation. Can we even still stay in the Empire?
Emma pressed her lips together and said quietly, “Maybe we should apply to relocate to another galaxy for asylum.”
