Would you be willing to go back with me now and see what I prepared for you?”

Emma held Marcus in her arms and looked at his pitiful little face. There was no trace of the reckless, half- dead wolf who had been constantly trying to get himself killed ever since he first came to her side.

Just as she hesitated over whether she should agree, Andre suddenly walked over.

He glanced at Marcus‘ injuries and said, “I can heal him.”

“Are you actually good at this, or are you just pretending you are?” he couldn’t help asking. “Don’t tell me you’re gonna act like you know what you’re doing when you really don’t…”

Andre placed his hand over Marcus‘ injured leg and gave him a blank look. “Relax. I know exactly what I’m doing.”
