Gregory Graham said quietly, "I told you last night that I would send her away at some point. She’ll never be seen again and is certainly no threat to you, so you don't have to hurt her like this. If you do this, it’ll make me feel…”
He stopped and did not continue.
Vickie Thomas, however, only felt as if her heart had suddenly been hit hard with a fist. There was a dull pain and her spine went cold.
She stopped speaking and pursed her lips, then looked at him, unmoving.
After a while, she asked in a deep voice, "What does it make you feel? Speak clearly! Gregory, what does it make you think if I do this?"
Gregory's eyes grew colder.
He was no longer polite, but said directly, "It makes me feel that you’re unfamiliar, tiresome, and petty in a way that the old Vickie never was. You should know that she’s different from you. You’re not on the same playing field, and in all aspects, she’s not your opponent.
“For such a person, who doesn't pose any threat, why do you need to target her in every way? Isn't it good to set her free as well as yourself?"
Vickie was stunned.
She never thought that she would one day hear such words from this man's mouth.
Vickie opened her mouth but was at a loss of words for a moment.
Suddenly, she felt very sarcastic.
Her eyes grew cold and she stared at Gregory with a sneer.
"So that's what you think. Well, Gregory Graham, remember what you said today, and then look at yourself later to see how stupid you sound at this moment."
After she finished speaking, she gave him the cold shoulder, turned around, and pushed her wheelchair away.
Gregory stood there and did not chase after her.
He just looked at her departing back with deeply sunken eyes.
Vickie was so angry that she went straight back to her room.
She slammed the door with a bang and kicked the edge of the bed.
The bed did not budge at all from the kick. Instead, it caused a sharp pain in her leg.
Even Vickie, who was able to endure most pains, covered her leg and hissed.
D*mn it!
She had forgotten about the leg injury.
Outside the door, Andrea happened to return from her task at this time. When she saw Vickie sitting there with a grimace while holding her leg, Andrea’s face changed and she rushed in.
"Ms. Thomas, what's wrong?"
Vickie held her leg and gave herself an eye-roll.
What a stupid thing to do, why would she kick herself?
‘I'm not usually so careless. It’s all because of that scourge, Gregory Graham!’
As she thought about this, she felt hatred in her heart again. When Andrea saw that Vickie was silent, she panicked and said, "Wait a minute! I'm going to call the doctor."
Andrea then got up and ran to the door.
Before she could run out, she heard a cold shout from behind her, "Come back!"
When she turned around, she saw that Vickie was sitting there with a pale face.
"Ms. Thomas…”
“Don’t go!"
Vickie directly said, "I'm fine. I just accidentally knocked something."
After she said that, she rubbed the place where she was hurt.
Andrea saw this and came back half-heartedly.
"Ms. Thomas, what happened?"
A moment of anger also appeared on that impassive face.
"Don't mention his name in front of me!"
Andrea was stunned.
Vickie sneered.
"I have nothing to do with him in the first place. I don't want to hear that person's name again, so don't say such words in front of me in the future."
Andrea was somewhat surprised.
As far as she knew, the two of them were still fine before this.
When she thought about it again, she suddenly recalled what happened yesterday when Vickie ran to the dojo to find Gregory and vaguely understood the situation.
Andrea smiled and said, "Okay, I won't mention it if you say so. Since that's the case, don't be sad about those irrelevant things. I think it's almost time to take your medicine. I'll go and bring it over for you first."
Vickie did not refuse and nodded her head.
Andrea then quickly brought her medicine over.
These medications were left behind by the female doctor who had treated her injuries. There were two kinds of medication. The doctor had instructed her to take one before and after each meal every day.
Now that it was midday and time to eat, it was just the right time to take one first.
Vickie took the pink-white pill from her hand and dropped it into her mouth, then drank some water and swallowed it in one gulp.
Andrea's eyes darkened as she watched her take the pill.
After taking the medication, Vickie then went to the dining room with Andrea to have lunch.
She felt a little tired after the meal, so she came back to rest.
An afternoon nap was most suitable in this weather.
Vickie laid in bed drowsy, but at this moment, there was suddenly a loud noise from outside.
