Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 826

Yuliana could not help but smile upon hearing that.

The weight in her chest gradually lifted.

She held the bowl of white fungus and lotus seed soup with a smile. “Does Vickie Thomas know?”

Ginny said triumphantly, “Andrea was so mad that her face turned green. There’s no doubt that she would report back to her.”

At those words, Yuliana was even happier.

However, as she thought about Vickie’s cold personality, Yuliana’s face darkened.

Who knew if she was one to be bothered about such trivial matters?

Vickie probably would not care. If it was not for the fact that she was obviously in love with Gregory, Yuliana would not have been able to tell if there was a shred of human emotion in her.

Thinking about it that way prompted Yuliana to let out a cold ‘hmph’.

She liked Gregory Graham, so what?

The two were not even together yet were they?

As long as they were not officially together, Yuliana still had her chance. Furthermore, if Vickie and Gregory were really what he made it out to be, that they had no issues, then why not just come out and officialize it?

Instead, he had made a mountain out of a molehill, using Yuliana to prove if Vickie really had feelings for him.

As Yuliana’s train of thought reached this point, a spark appeared in her once gloomy eyes.

She let out another ‘hmph’ coldly and took a mouthful of soup.

It was as expected of a bowl of soup that was snatched from Vickie’s grasp.

One mouthful of it tasted better than any other soup she had before.

The sugarcane held a very unusually peculiar and fragrant flavor.

Yuliana quickly finished the whole bowl and licked her lips to savor what was left there. “Surely, they must be completely seething right now. Come, even though we can't do much about her, let us enjoy a nice little show. Even adding to the flames a little can be great.”

With that, she set the bowl down and stood up.

Ginny was very happy to see this.

She hastily scrambled to get what Yuliana needed to head out. After all, for the sake of having the high ground over Vickie, Yuliana must look her absolute best, as if she were heading to a fancy ball. It mattered not that they were just walking around the chateau.

This time was no exception.

Unfortunately, when Ginny picked up Yuliana’s purse, she noticed her mistress’ face pale before Yuliana suddenly keeled over.

Ginny panicked and rushed to prop her up.

“Miss Lynch?! What’s wrong?”

All she saw was that Yuliana’s face had turned as pale as a ghost. Her complexion was worsening by the second, with sweat trickling down her forehead.

Every word that came out of her mouth was disjointed and made little sense. She reached out her hand, trembling from the pain, and grasped at Ginny’s arm.

Yuliana gripped so hard, it felt like she was trying to rip her arm off.

“My stomach hurts!”

She forced the words out with great difficulty.

Ginny’s face paled and then she became frantic.

“How can you get a stomachache so suddenly? Don't panic, sit down first.”

She helped Yuliana to sit down but noticed that Yuliana’s face had turned from white to red, and the corners of her lips were also turning slightly black.

Within a few seconds, Yuliana felt like there was a knife twisting around in her stomach, as if a hand was grabbing onto her intestines and pulling at it ravenously.

She was on the verge of passing out. Sensing that something was very wrong, Ginnie felt like this could be much worse than they had thought.

She quickly said, “Hang in there Miss Lynch! I’m going to fetch the doctor. Please, you must hang on, the doctor will be here soon!”

With that, Ginny sprinted out.

Not too long later the doctor came.

However, it was not just the doctor though as Mr. Osborne was also alerted and they all came rushing in.

At this point, Yuliana had passed out from the pain.

“The doctor says she will live. The poison may be strong, but we found out early on so she should be okay.”

Vickie breathed a sigh of relief.

Although Yuliana was a pain in her neck and she did not like how scheming she was…

She still did not want to see someone lose their life in front of her eyes.

Vickie mulled it over and said, “Let’s inform Gregory. He should know about this as soon as possible.”

She was not sure if she was just imagining it, but Vickie had a hunch that Yuliana getting poisoned on such an important day as today was no mere coincidence.

Who could say if it was directed at Gregory?

Thus, him knowing about this was crucial.

Mr. Osborne nodded. “I thought so too, but with all the panic I didn’t get to arrange it. I’ll send someone out right away.”

With that, he left to make a phone call.

Meanwhile, Vickie sat there for a while and watched until the doctor said that the danger had passed. She just needed to be transported to the medical building for a stomach pump and she would be fine. Only then did Vickie turn to leave.

Back in her room, Vickie frowned harder.

The unease in her chest grew stronger and she could not figure out why.

Not long after, Mr. Osborne sent someone to inform her.

This was to tell her that Gregory was now aware and was rushing back home.

Even though this whole fiasco had nothing to do with Vickie, Mr. Osborne still sent someone to notify her.

It was obvious that to Mr. Osborne, Vickie was an important figurehead.

As if she were the mistress of the castle.

She said nothing when she heard it.

It looked as if she did not care.
