She had mixed feelings about the whole situation. As such, she did not eat much during lunch.

She had thought of stopping Gregory.

After she finished her lunch, she invited Massimo over to chat with him.

When she saw Massimo, she waved at him. “Come and have a taste of my freshly brewed tea.”

Massimo smiled and walked toward her. After he sat down, he picked up the tea that Vickie had poured for him and took a sip.

“Not bad, your tea brewing skills are still as good as always.”

Vickie smiled.

She could not think of a reason why Gregory had changed so much. That was why she invited Massimo over to find out the answer.

She spent the last four years in prison. As such, she did not know much about what Gregory had experienced throughout those four years.

However, Massimo was different.

The Nolans were a regular business group which differed from the Grahams.

However, Massimo and Gregory were best friends ever since they were kids. As such, it would not be an overstatement to call them hardcore brothers.

At that moment, she did not believe that Massimo would not know anything about why Gregory would make that decision.

As she thought of this, her eyes darkened.

Massimo knew that Gregory was not at home today. He also knew that Vickie would not have called him out of the blue.

As such, after he finished drinking his tea, he cut straight to the chase and asked, “Tell me, what do you want to know?”

Vickie looked at him with a solemn expression and asked, “How’d you know that I wanted to ask you something when I invited you over?”

Massimo laughed nonchalantly.

“Both you and Gregory have the same type of personality. Both of you would never reach out to someone unless you have a goal in mind. If there wasn’t anything that you wanted from me, you wouldn’t have called me over at this moment.”

He stopped for a while before making a wild guess. “Is it about Gregory?”

Vickie had no intention to hide anything from him and nodded her head.

Massimo’s expression became solemn in an instant.

He thought for a while and sighed.

“Now, this makes things awkward between us. One is my brother while the other is my friend. If you ask anything that’s inconvenient for me to say, should I tell you the answer or not? I’ll offend one side either way.”

However, Vickie did not flinch when she heard his response. On the contrary, a grin appeared on her face.

“Are you insinuating that he’s indeed hiding something from me?”

Massimo froze in shock.

After a while, he came back to his senses and began to laugh.

He pointed at Vickie and shook his head. He then laughed. “You’re still as clever as ever. I haven’t even said anything, yet you were able to find your answer by reading between the lines.”

He stopped and put on a stern expression. He then said, “Did anything happen between you and Gregory?”

“Everyone thought that they could finally find some peace and quiet after the war.

“However, the Dragon Regiment was unexpectedly attacked shortly after the war.

“The attackers had a lot of power, and the odds were in their favor. If the assault happened before the war, the Dragon Regiment would have nothing to fear. However, the Dragon Regiment was severely injured after the war. As such, they couldn’t endure another attack.

“The Dragon Regiment was at its weakest point. The opponents knew that the Dragon Regiment couldn’t recover from the previous war. As such, they took this opportunity to attack the Dragon Regiment.
