Quincy quietly pulled on Massimo and said, "My stomach’s a bit upset. Accompany me to the bathroom please..."
Only then did Massimo turn back and nod but he looked at Mr. Clinton again and he snorted lightly.
Following that, Massimo greeted Vickie and Gregory, telling them to wait for him at the same place before he turned around and accompanied Quincy to the restroom.
After he left, Mr. Clinton also left with a look of defeat.
This time, he was clearly a little indignant since he did not exchange pleasantries with Gregory.
However, Gregory was not a petty kind of person.
Not only was he not calculative, but he greeted Mr. Clinton kindly too.
"Take good care of yourself, Mr. Clinton."
This made Mr. Clinton hurried off so fast that he almost tripped.
Vickie could not stand it, so she turned to glare at Gregory angrily. "Are you threatening him?"
With his eyebrows raised, Gregory said, "I didn't. I meant it! After all, it's not good to be so competitive at his age."
Vickie shook her head helplessly.
"How dare you still have the nerve to say he’s competitive. After this stunt today, I'm afraid everyone will know just how competitive you are."
Gregory laughed at her words.
All of a sudden, he turned to face her head-on, then lowered his head and said, "My greatest competitiveness is that I must have you, even if it’s to the ends of the earth, I’ll never give up on you till I die."
Vickie was startled.
Her face turned red in an instant.
As the man lowered his head, his tall figure enveloped her entire body and she was covered in his scent.
Vickie was in a bit of a panic and did not know how she should respond.
She seemed a little weak in her knees and as she was about to take a step back, the man took hold of her arm and pulled her forward. Suddenly, her entire body was planted steadily in his arms.
Hugging her, Gregory stroked the top of her head and said, "Vick, you're mine. My one and only."
Vickie's heart was in a tangle as she listened to his soft murmurs.
The kind of feelings Gregory had for her during this time was as clear as day.
The man did not shy away from or cover up his possessiveness and was seemingly eating away at her sanity step by step.
Vickie also knew that it was not a solution to keep avoiding him.
However, besides running away, she simply could not give any other response at that moment.
Neither of them spoke for a while.
Suddenly, they heard someone’s laughter.
"Wow, it's only been a minute since I've seen you guys and you're already hugging?"
Vickie was shocked. When she looked up, she saw that Massimo and Quincy were heading towards them from the direction of the bathroom.
She was red in the face as she quickly pushed Gregory away with guilt.
Meanwhile, Gregory was very calm. He looked askance at Massimo and asked, "Do you want a knuckle sandwich?"
Massimo smiled heedlessly and as he switched his gaze between Vickie and Gregory, he understood the situation clearly in his mind.
He walked over and placed a palm on Gregory's shoulder while he laughed.
"Okay, I'm just saying it casually. if you don't like to hear it, then I won't say it."
Although he did not open his mouth, his wink had expressed the meaning completely.
Gregory did not bother to argue with him, and not long after, the staff came over for Gregory’s signature.
After signing the bill, the staff packed up the piece of Arcane Jade that was auctioned and handed it over to him.
Before they left, the staff kindly reminded them. "The item is very valuable. Young Master Graham, please be sure to pay attention to your safety."
Gregory nodded his head.
When his manly stubble scraped her fingers, it tickled her.
Vickie's heart suddenly trembled.
Along with that, it seemed that her whole body shuddered too.
Off to the side, the man still seemed like he did not notice it. After eating the piece of fruit, he had a serious look on his face when he took out the box and placed it on the table. He then asked, "Do you want to open it? Or should I open it?"
Vickie withdrew her hand and restrained her thoughts, acting as if nothing had happened. "You open it."
Gregory nodded his head and opened the box.
The white, glistening piece of jade sat quietly in the box.
Although this was not the first time either of them had seen it, they still could not help but be in awe when they saw it again after four years.
Vickie could not help but walk forward and pick up the piece of jade.
She held the piece of jade in her hand, which exuded a bone-chilling coolness, and by the light, she could see the seemingly faint textures that were carved on it. It did not look like words, but more like some special symbols.
The four edges of the jade were well-polished and rounded. It was a mere three-fingers-wide piece of jade, so when she held it in her hand, it felt like she was holding a piece of ice.
However, it was more comfortable than holding ice and felt more like a layer of cool water that seeped into one's skin from the jade piece.
Vickie could not help but gulp.
She had to admit that even if one ignored the bizarre rumors that the jade carried, the Arcane Jade would still be a treasure of great value just with one look at its surface.
Gregory just sat there and watched her as she quietly weighed the jade in her hand.
After a while, he asked, "Do you see any clues?"
Vickie scrutinized it and shook her head.
Gregory extended his hand, saying, "Let me see."
She then handed over the piece of jade.
The glittering piece of jade was even smaller and more transparent in the man's palm. Under the light, the faint carvings of the jade seemed more vivid.
