Lucius raised his head, looked at her and said, “Don’t worry. I know you like that girl, so I didn’t hurt her. You can go take a rest first, I’ll ask someone to send her over later.”
Vickie was finally relieved when she heard him say this. She also made sure that he did not lie to her.
Then, she turned around and walked upstairs.
After she left, Shay walked in from outside. He watched as she left, frowning unhappily. Obviously, he was very dissatisfied with her attitude towards Lucius.
However, he knew his place and understood that he was not qualified to express his opinion at this moment, so he just asked, "Hall Master, do you want me to bring Amber here?"
Lucius nodded.
‘’Bring her here. Remember to tell her that if she dares to speak nonsense..." His eyes became stern as he said that.
Shay understood immediately. He lowered his head and replied, "Yes, I understand."
After speaking, he turned away and left.
Soon, Andrea was brought over. When she saw Lucius, her gaze that was originally as still as water became shocked and she rushed towards him.
"Where’s my grandma? What have you done to her?"
Lucius looked at the woman who had gotten close to him and squinted slightly. He whispered, "Don't worry. It's still useful to keep you, so don't worry. Your grandma is fine."
As her breathing got heavier, Andrea stared at him bitterly. She grabbed his sleeve with one hand as she demanded, "Where is she? I want to see her."
Lucius glanced at her clenched fingers and smiled slowly and gently. "It's not impossible if you want to see her, but now I'll give you a mission."
He raised his head and gestured to the room upstairs, and said. "Go! Convince her to believe that she’s my sister, and tell her how difficult it has been for her brother to pass these years by. As long as she’s willing to admit our sibling relationship and stay, I will return that old woman to you. How about that?"
Andrea's eyes widened with rage as she responded, "You clearly said before that as long as I help you bring Vickie out, you'd return my grandma to me. Were you lying?"
Lucius narrowed his eyes and smiled evilly. "Yeah, I lied to you. What's wrong with that?"
"How dare you!?" She was so furious that she subconsciously wanted to raise her hand and clench her fist tightly to punch him.
However, with her fist still in the air, she met his seemingly smiling eyes, which were actually extremely cold.
She thought about her grandma’s age. Now that she was in his hands, she still did not know whether her grandma was still alive or not.
If anything happened to this man today, she was afraid that her grandma's life would be gone just like that.
Her hand softened suddenly as if she was suddenly emptied of all strength.
Looking at him, she said in a faint voice, "Lucius, I'm begging you, just come to me if you’ve got any issues. She’s just an old woman who knows nothing. Can’t you let her go? As long as you let her go, I promise that I’ll listen to you in the future, and I’ll do whatever you ask me to do, okay?"
Her tone sounded as if she was pleading.
However, Lucius's face did not show the slightest movement or even a soft-hearted expression.
He still looked cold and indifferent as he looked at her and chuckled. "Tsk. This weak look really is making me take pity on you, but, witty little one, I said it before. I don’t like promises or oaths because they are all fake."
"I just need to firmly hold on to a person's weak point, and he or she will definitely listen to me. Why should I believe those vain vows and guarantees? Don't you think so?"
Andrea looked at him, her eyes gradually changing from pleading to bitter hatred.
She let go of his hand, straightened up, and said coldly, "So, are you sure that you don't want to let her go?"
Lucius raised his eyebrows. "Are you going or not?"
She always felt that everything in front of her was too illusionary as if the person in this very environment now was not herself.
It was the same feeling that made one seem like they were floating in the clouds. She just noticed that she would tremble slightly when she put her fingers on the windowsill.
As though she could not control herself, as long as she thought about those scenes, her physical state would be negatively affected.
What exactly was going on?
She could not help but frown.
At this moment, the door was knocked from the outside.
"V, are you asleep?"
Vickie turned her head to look over. She remembered this voice. It was the man outside who had claimed to be her brother just now named Lucius.
Did he not let her go for a while? What was he doing now?
She frowned and hesitated for two seconds, then said, "No."
The door was pushed open from the outside, and Lucius walked in with a woman.
When Vickie saw the petite figure standing behind him, her pupils slightly enlarged, and then a surprised look instantly appeared on her face.
“Andrea!”
“Sister Vickie!”
With a surprised and joyful expression, Andrea immediately ran towards her.
