Gideon Leith held Nell Jennings tightly in his arms and murmured, "Little fool."
Nell also reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist, holding him tightly.
Since the two of them had already decided, they would not delay any longer.
Moreover, Gregory Graham did not give them much time to procrastinate.
They made their decision that night, and the next morning, they immediately took a plane to City H.
City H was where Gregory's base camp was located.
This place was located at the intersection of the Golden Triangle and was considered a no-authority zone.
It was because of this that it was Gregory's territory.
The two of them arrived in City H at exactly 3:00 pm.
The hot summer sun was on top of their heads and made their bodies sweat.
As soon as they got off the plane, they saw a few men dressed in black standing there not far ahead.
When they saw them, the group of men immediately walked towards them.
"May I ask if you’re Mr. and Mrs. Leith?"
The two of them nodded.
They immediately bowed and made a respectful inviting gesture.
Since they had already arrived here, they naturally were not afraid that Gregory would play tricks on them, so they did not hesitate and followed them trustingly.
This time, the one who followed the two of them was Nancy Murray.
Matthew Starks, on the other hand, was left at home by Gideon to help him deal with the company's affairs.
After all, he was not a fighter, so he could not help with their problems anyway.
The group did not walk far before they saw a row of cars parked by the roadside.
Gideon and Nell got into the car escorted by a group of people and drove directly to their destination.
After about half an hour, the car arrived at a luxurious and majestic chateau.
It was actually Nell's first time coming to this place. Although she and Gregory had known each other for a long time, in the past, Gregory had always appeared as the boss of the Dragon Regiment, so the place where he appeared was naturally the Dragon Regiment's headquarters. He would not bring anyone to this place.
After they entered the gates, the car stopped in front of a huge building.
They got out of the car and when they looked up, they saw Gregory Graham standing at the entrance.
"Welcome to the Graham Chateau."
He smiled slightly and was dressed in a black suit. He looked rather suave and unrestrainedly handsome, only if one ignored the deep black circles under his eyes.
Gideon also smiled lightly. Although the two of them used to be mortal enemies, their meeting that day was unexpectedly very harmonious.
He walked up and shook hands with him. Gregory directly extended his hand and led the couple into the drawing room.
A maid then came up respectfully to serve tea and water.
Nell took a look around and laughed lightly.
"I couldn't tell...you even have such a nest! I should’ve brought someone to wreck this place at first, so I wouldn't have to be tricked by you again."
Gregory looked at her and said in a soft voice, "This is the place my mother left for me."
Nell paused.
She did not know about Gregory's background before, but later learned that he was the illegitimate son of the Graham family.
His background was actually quite sobering.
However, that was another separate matter. At this point, she naturally would not pity him anymore.
Also, this man did not need sympathy.
She went to the front of the couch and sat down, then got right to the point.
"But it took me a long time to realize that many of the people within the Vermilion Bird Organization and our Dragon Regiment were originally from the Chinese Association.
"They changed their names, hid their identities, and have been lurking among the various organizations awaiting their time to stir up internal strife. All so they can break them down one by one.
"Right now, besides the Bauhinia Clan, the Chinese Association is the next most powerful in the underground circle. They’re the reason why Nell was in trouble last time. Nell’s assassins I investigated were also from the Chinese Association."
Nell's eyes tightened.
Her face went cold.
"What did you say? They were from the Chinese Association too?"
Gregory nodded.
"But why? I don't really remember having a grudge against them..."
Gregory sneered.
"There’s no need for a grudge. As long as you're in their way, they'll have a reason to deal with you."
He said after another pause.
"They've recently extended their goals into China. If they want to unify their forces domestically, the biggest roadblock isn't me, but the Leith family, so when you think about it, you should know why they came after you, right?"
Nell's face changed.
Her mind shifted rapidly, and in an instant, many things that she could not figure out before suddenly made sense at once.
She said in a deep voice, "So you called us over this time to help you deal with them together?"
Gregory nodded his head.
Right after that, he told them about Vickie Thomas' disappearance.
"Vickie’s still in their possession. Although I don't know why they captured her, their purpose is probably similar to trying to assassinate Nell. That’s why I called you guys over, so we can come up with a strategy together to stop their plan."
Nell and Gideon were both silent for a moment.
