Sebastian couldn't help but chuckle as he took a seat and gently pulled Stephanie's hand into his own.
They were already a few minutes into the movie.
Stephanie was engrossed in the film...
What she hadn't expected was that the seemingly sweet, comedic movie had such a heart-wrenching plot...
She sniffled and said, "Why can't two people who are in love just be together without all these misunderstandings... waiting until the very end to finally fall madly in love?"
With a twitch of his lips, Sebastian retorted, "Isn't this how all the soap operas you act in go?"
"But when I'm acting, I don't feel it... Watching it now, it's just so infuriating... This plot is trash; I'm tempted to send the screenwriter a nasty letter."
Once the movie was over and Stephanie was still fuming about the plot, Sebastian made a mental note of the screenwriter's name displayed on the screen.
He then asked Stephanie, "Ready to leave?"
"I'm so mad, Silver Fox, I don't even want to move... That green-tea b*tch of a supporting actress was unbearable! And the male lead... what a joke, playing the field like that... Not a shred of deep emotion, no loyalty... I wish I hadn't watched it!"
Taking a deep breath, Sebastian offered, "The writer's name is Johnson. I can have Martin dig up his address for you to send that nasty letter."
Stephanie paused, surprised, "Really? You can do that?"
"Yeah, if you really want to."
He didn't quite follow her train of thought.
Nor could he understand how a simple movie could get her so worked up.
While he found it amusing, he also found it endearing.
All he could do was solve the problem and help her cool down.
After thinking it over, Stephanie shook her head, "No... What if the writer's dealing with depression or is unstable? If my nasty letter pushes him over the edge and he does something drastic... I could end up being accused of murder."
The odds of that happening were probably one in a hundred thousand, but if she believed it was possible, then so be it.
"Then we won't send it..."
"Let's head home, Silver Fox."
