Emily looked at me and said, "Sullivan said... if we can't find it, then forget about it."
I raised an eyebrow. "Ask him if he really wants it or if he's just teasing me."
Emily quickly replied, "He says he really wants it."
"Then tell him I'll find a way to get it for him!"
"Sure thing, sis."
After leaving the guest room, I went back to my room just as Sebastian finished up his work.
He looked up and asked, "Feeling tired?"
"It's more like worried..."
"What's worrying you?"
"Well, Emily and I are planning to visit him at the hospital tomorrow. I casually asked what he'd like to eat so we could bring it along, and he didn't hesitate to ask for something tricky. He wants cornbread muffins with a side of pickles... Where am I supposed to find that?"
Seeing the stress on my face, Sebastian chuckled and ruffled my hair affectionately. "Silly girl... why don't you ask around your hometown? Someone's bound to know."
"Hmm? You think so? It's been years since I've seen anyone eat that stuff."
"The older folks definitely have... there must be some grandma who knows how to make it."
"Should I take Emily back home to ask around tomorrow?"
"That sounds good."
"You're working tomorrow, right, Silver Fox?"
"Yeah, I've got a meeting."
"Then we'll head back on our own... and after visiting Sullivan, I'll cook something delicious for you! I can't be running around for other men and neglect my own Silver Fox."
Sebastian smiled softly. "Sounds perfect."
"Then go shower, Silver Fox... You've got work tomorrow, so better hit the sack early."
