SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God novel Chapter 759

Chapter 759: You’re a strange one

The valley had turned into rubble.

The battlefield that once shook with hundreds of warriors was now nothing more than a shattered wasteland. The ground had collapsed into craters, cliffs had broken apart, and the air was thick with drifting dust and fading mana.

Only one thing remained untouched.

At the very center, a single blade of grass swayed gently.

Kael lay half-kneeling in the crater, breathing heavily. Golden blood dripped slowly from the wounds across his body. His draconic scales were cracked, several of them broken completely. He looked up. Damon stood in front of him. The spear had already disappeared.

But Damon turned away.

Kael blinked. "What...?"

Damon walked past him without another glance.

"You spared someone important to me," Damon said calmly. "...So I will spare you."

Kael’s eyes widened, staring at his back, completely dumbfounded. "You’re sparing a true draconian... after bringing him to death’s door?" he asked hoarsely. His golden eyes narrowed slightly. "We hold grudges, you know."

Damon paused. Then he turned his head slightly. "I don’t care." And he kept walking.

Kael watched him go, the expression on his face unreadable.

Damon approached the center of the ruined valley. The blade of grass stood there quietly, untouched by the devastation surrounding it. He reached out. The moment his fingers touched the blade, his body froze. His eyes lost focus as he entered a deep trance.

A powerful ripple spread through the valley.

High above, the watching elites reacted instantly. Seeing that Kael was wounded and Damon was also in a vulnerable position, nobody wanted to miss the opportunity. Many used concealment techniques to hide their identity and aura and quickly shot forward at lightning speed.

"That’s the inheritance!"

"Move!"

But before any of them could reach him, a dark energy barrier flashed around Damon forming a protective layer around him. Necrogod clenched his fists and stood firm. Seeing him, the other elites only snorted in contempt. They did not care at all.

However, all of a sudden the group stopped. This was because beside Necrogod, a golden figure arrived.

Kael stood up. His body was still wounded, golden blood still dripping down his arm, but the draconic aura around him surged again.

The elites froze mid-charge. They had expected Kael to be finished.

The wounds Damon had inflicted were severe enough to kill most beings several times over. His scales had been shattered, his chest caved in, golden blood flooding the crater. Yet now, the wounds were closing.

Cracks in the draconic scales sealed themselves as if time had reversed. The golden blood evaporated into sparks of energy that flowed back into his body. Within seconds, Kael stood straight again.

He was not just healed. He was completely whole as if nothing has ever happened. The draconic phantom behind him roared once more, far clearer than before. Its wings stretched across the sky like a living storm.

Several elites abruptly stopped advancing.

"Regeneration."

"No."

They swallowed.

"That’s true draconic vitality."

Kael rolled his neck slowly, the bones cracking loudly in the silence of the ruined valley. "What are you looking at?" he snarled. His golden eyes swept across the approaching figures. "I always play by certain rules." Lightning crackled along his arms. "But sometimes..."

He stretched his fingers, claws extending slowly. "I throw all the rules out the window."

The elites hesitated.

Kael’s grin returned, far more savage this time. "I thought I already told you all to get lost." Golden pressure exploded outward from his body, slamming into the incoming beings like a wall. Several of them were forced to stop midair.

"What are you still doing here?"

No one answered. No one dared to. For several moments, the ruined valley remained silent. Then one after another, the elites began retreating.

Some activated their teleportation tokens immediately, vanishing in flashes of light. Others stepped back slowly, bowing toward Kael before turning away. Even the proudest among them did not dare linger any longer.

They had all witnessed firsthand a true draconian’s power.

Even after being brought to the brink of death, Kael had stood back up as if nothing had happened. And more importantly... he had chosen to guard the one person who had just defeated him.
