"Are you sure this is safe, son? Do you really have to do this?" Damon’s father asked. "I know I’m not in any position to tell you what to do anymore... but this... this feels dangerous. Going to a whole other planet... where even is that planet?"
Damon shook his head slightly. "I don’t know those details yet. Once I find out, I’ll have to leave immediately. If I delay, the other person might notice."
His father slowly nodded, though the worry on his face did not fade. Years of raising Damon had taught him when his son had already made up his mind. There was no point arguing now.
Damon’s mother sat quietly nearby, her hands tightly clasped together. The concern in her eyes was obvious, even though she tried not to show it. The idea of her son leaving Earth, leaving the entire planet, was something she had never imagined she would have to accept.
"You just got through so much already. Can’t you at least take a break? Even for just a couple of days?"
Damon looked at her, his expression softening slightly. "If this is over, then I will definitely take a proper break. Don’t worry. I’m fine now. Better than I’ve ever been. I am a lot stronger now, mom. Trust me. I got this."
His mother did not look convinced but she did not say anything else. Kate was next in line but before she could say anything, Damon smiled gently. "I have to do this Kate."
She closed her mouth and then let out a sigh. "I understand." She nodded. Lirae and the others also had the same long faces. Of course, except for one person. "Come on. Why are you guys being like this? Hubby is awesome and I am there with him. What can possibly go wrong?"
"Damn you Aurora!" Kate cursed. "Why did you have to say something like that?"
"What did I do?" Aurora pouted.
"You raised a flag!"
The two continued bickering and Damon finally stepped in. "You two, I have to leave now. Also, Aurora you are not coming with me. You will stand out way too much. None of you are coming with me. Now that I have evolved, my soul space is much bigger. You can all comfortably settle in without any issues. I will bring you all out again once we are in the clear."
There were some arguments but everyone quickly quieted down once Damon repeated his words, this time more firmly. Even Aurora accepted with a pout. "I have to anyway meditate on some concepts to make my own breakthrough?" She added with a wink.
Damon wished her the best. She might look as if she was simply joking but Damon wouldn’t put anything past her. Her natural talent and her bloodline were simply that ridiculous.
Aurora might act carefree most of the time, but everyone present knew better than to underestimate her.
The speed at which she understood complex powers, the ease with which she manipulated energy, and the terrifying potential hidden behind her playful attitude made her one of the most dangerous people in the group.
Damon had no doubt that if she truly focused on breaking through, she might succeed sooner than anyone expected.
Still, that was not something he could count on right now. Stepping in B rank was not a joke. Aurora might not have realized it yet but even for her it might take a few years to achieve breakthrough that too if she encounters at least a couple of serendipitous situations.
After a few more conversations, Damon transferred the whole bunch to his soul sea which was a lot bigger now. They were not safe in this world and he had no plans of leaving them behind, especially when many things could happen.
He had a feeling a lot was about to drastically change and he had to get ahead of it all. For that, he needed to act now without any further delay.
In fact, Damon had all along planned to confront his bloodline counterparts when he reached the peak of C rank. Stepping into B rank so soon was not something he had planned.
Thanks to the Golden Throne system event now he was better than he had hoped. There was no point in postponing any longer. The gap between C rank and B rank was huge but that was nothing when compared to the gap between a B rank and A rank. He was sure of it.
If he waited until he became an A rank to finally address his bloodline limitations it would definitely be too late. He had to act now. That was that. Irrespective of whatever was brewing in this game world or on earth, he decided to focus on this.
A single victory on this front could mean a lot. Even if he absorbed another fraction of his bloodline, it could improve his power tremendously. He had to take a shot and go after this despite all the risk it carried.
Doing this exposed him, and put him in more danger than ever. However, conitnuing to hide was pointless. If he could do this then the others could do this as well. There was no way he could remain hidden for long.
Damon did not wait any longer. He decisively acted. He sucked in a deep breath and started the process. He first summoned his five blood avatars and made them guard him, and maintain the blood domain so that his presence would be as hidden as possible. He then closed his eyes and focused.
