Kael didn’t waste a single moment after seeing Silen crash into the wall.
"Perfect."
Adrenaline surged through his body as he exploded forward. The opportunity created by Interference wouldn’t last forever, and he had no intention of letting it go to waste. With victory in sight, Kael unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, his sword flashing through the air over and over again.
Each strike carried every ounce of strength he could muster.
Slash.
Slash.
Slash.
Every third strike triggered Echo Strike, causing violent bursts of force to erupt from Silen’s battered body. The executioner was driven backward repeatedly, its massive frame staggering under the constant assault.
For the first time since the battle had begun, the seemingly invincible boss looked worn down.
Its body was covered in wounds.
Chunks of flesh had been torn away.
Cracks spread across its bones.
Several jagged fragments protruded from its ruined frame while pale blood dripped onto the stone floor beneath it.
A grin spread across Kael’s face.
"See? You can die after all."
Without giving the executioner any breathing room, he pressed the attack even harder.
Unfortunately, Silen wasn’t willing to simply stand there and be beaten to death.
The executioner’s body suddenly twisted with unnatural speed. Before Kael could react, a heavy kick slammed into his side.
Boom!
Kael stumbled backward several steps, his boots scraping against the stone floor.
He clenched his jaw.
The damage he had dealt was significant. There was no doubt about that.
But it still wasn’t enough.
Not against a monster like this.
Silen was simply too durable.
The executioner recovered its footing and slowly turned toward him once more. The lantern’s pale glow flickered ominously as the creature prepared to continue the battle.
Kael exhaled slowly.
"Let’s try that one more time."
Thanks to his dramatically increased stats, he was still capable of maintaining Interference for a little longer.
That would have to be enough.
Without hesitation, he activated the skill again.
Immediately, the familiar sensation returned.
The world distorted.
Reality warped.
Countless shimmering threads appeared throughout the battlefield.
Kael ignored the overwhelming sea of information and focused solely on one target.
Silen.
The moment he did, countless threads snapped into focus.
Among them all, one particular strand stood out.
Kael smiled.
"There you are."
His fingers reached forward.
The moment he touched the thread, reality rippled violently.
"Let’s see how you handle another reality warp."
The effect was immediate.
A violent distortion swept across Silen’s body.
The executioner’s movements suddenly became unstable. Its balance faltered as if the laws governing its existence had been temporarily rewritten.
The lantern flickered erratically.
Shadows danced wildly across the arena walls.
Silen attempted to recover and launched another attack, but its footing gave way completely.
The distortion dragged its massive frame into an awkward spiral.
The executioner fought against it, trying to force its body back under control.
It almost succeeded.
Almost.
Just as Silen finally managed to stabilize itself and raised its axe for a devastating counterattack, Kael acted once more.
His hand tightened around the thread.
Then he pulled.
Hard.
Reality twisted again.
A loud crack echoed throughout the chamber.
The axe that had been moments away from cleaving Kael in half suddenly veered off course.
Instead of striking its target, it slammed into the ground beside him.
Boom!
Stone exploded.
Debris flew in every direction.
A massive crater appeared where the attack landed.
Kael’s eyes lit up.
"Yes!"
The momentum of the battle shifted instantly.
For the second time, victory was firmly within reach.
And this time, Kael had no intention of letting it escape.
He rushed forward.
The world slowed around him as his sword blurred into a storm of attacks.
