Still You Still Me Still Falling novel Chapter 83

"I'd wish I never had to see you again!"

"If it weren't for Tilly, did you really think..."

"Did you really think I would ever willingly show up in front of you?"

"Time and time again, you've mocked me and made snide remarks, and I haven't held it against you."

"But my patience has limits, Edmond."

"Let's just end this."

"Let's just leave it at this. I'm done. I don't want any of it anymore."

"Goodbye, Edmond. Forever."

With that, Sheila spun around and walked out.

Edmond abruptly shot up. "Sheila!"

She didn't look back.

He immediately sprinted after her.

She was running fast, and he could only watch helplessly as she stepped into the elevator.

Left with no choice, he took the stairs.

Furious and completely flustered, Sheila ran aimlessly, having no idea where she was going.

"Sheila!"

Edmond finally spotted her and chased her down, grabbing her wrist.

"Let go of me!" she screamed. "You bastard!"

"Fine, I'm a bastard, but what about Cecil? Knowing what kind of person he is, you still dare to call him family? Don't come crying to me when he sells you out and you're the one counting the money for him!"

"Even if he does, I'm willing! What does it have to do with you? Keep your fake concern to yourself!"

"Have you completely lost your mind, Sheila!"

Just as she was about to wrench her arm free, four or five towering men suddenly appeared from the shadows, surrounding them.

Security could be a serious issue in this city, and Sheila had unknowingly run behind the hospital building.

Edmond had rushed out so suddenly that his bodyguards hadn't caught up yet.

The men looked menacing, wielding metal pipes.

One of them barked, "Phones and wallets, now!"

Edmond instantly pulled Sheila behind him.

Protected behind him, she watched helplessly as he fought off multiple attackers at once.

"I'll hold them off, go get help!"

He suddenly shouted the command over his shoulder.

He had been slowly backing them toward the hospital while shielding her.

She was terrified for him, but in this critical moment, dragging it out would only put them in more danger.

Who knew if these guys had other weapons hidden on them?

Seizing the opportunity, she turned and bolted!

With his skills, handling a few thugs shouldn't be a problem.

But trying to protect her at the same time had been holding him back.

However, the attackers had numbers on their side. The moment Sheila made a run for it, they exchanged a look, and several of them swarmed Edmond to pin him down.

One of them broke off and sprinted after her.

Sheila ran as fast as she could, the wind roaring in her ears, her heart pounding so hard it felt like it would burst from her chest.

Suddenly, the sharp sound of something slicing through the air rang out, making her heart skip a beat!
