Strongest Hammer God novel Chapter 1076

The Overseer was left in a trance for a long time. Her mind went over everything that had happened again and again.

She didn't know what she felt. She regretted not taking her shot, but she didn't regret it either. It was the right choice, but it was also the wrong choice. What had been the right choice? What had been the wrong choice?

The shadow's words echoed through her mind. They didn't sound believable. It talked like it knew everything about her, but she knew herself best. Its words couldn't possibly be more accurate than her own.

What even was this thing? She had never heard about anything even remotely resembling this shadow.

Did she imagine it? What if this was just some sort of illusion created by the Gate of Death to test her? What if she had failed that test?

But then, were the shadow's words actually her own thoughts? Did she have these thoughts as well?

Were they accurate?

As she thought about the ways she could use to escape, she felt a deep sense of dread. She knew that all of these ways would lead to the same conclusion: Her death.

The World Wall was unassailable. The supreme powers would never accept a beast like her. The supreme world knew that nobody had ascended from this world. They had sent several people, and all of them had died here. The Cult of Final Fate also wouldn't accept her. They would just use and discard her immediately.

She knew she had immense value, but she also knew that no one in existence would believe that she had value.

There was no way out. Every path led to death.

So, what now?

What was she supposed to do?

She didn't know.

She absentmindedly stretched her perception to cover the world. What she saw was unfamiliar.

A world filled with Seekers, Mortals, and beasts. The middle of the world was covered in a thick forest, and the edges were filled with human civilization. The center of the world had been designated as a wildlife zone. Beasts needed their own spaces to grow. While humanity didn't need beasts to grow, having them was better than not having them.

Fighting a beast was easier than fighting another human. Humans liked to choose their opponents and didn't like being chosen. Because of the complex web of politics, family, Organizations, rules, and society, battles between humans were harder to arrange. It was much easier to just enter a wild forest and hunt beasts.

As the Overseer saw the forest, she felt frustration and rage well up inside of her.

Wasn't this just another representation of reality? The beasts had their own space, but that was it. Humans were allowed to enter, but beasts were not allowed to leave. If a beast grew too powerful, it would be noticed by the powerful Seekers, who would kill it.

Humanity suppressed and controlled the beasts, and the world agreed. This was their fate. They were mere resources.

The desire to erase all of humanity rose in her chest. While she couldn't change the Cosmos to accept beasts, she could control her world!

That was why she had created the Abyss. Her Demons had had everything! They had all the Law Wells. Humans weren't allowed to show up unless they launched a major strike, and even then, they wouldn't get very far. Her Demons could do whatever they wanted until their longevity ran out.

They had been granted the opportunity to unearth their full potential, and when they ran out of potential, they would be sent to the frontlines. By then, they would already be old. For a beast, instead of dying due to old age, they preferred dying in battle. A last, glorious battle was their final gift.

The Overseer treated humanity the way the Cosmos treated beasts. They were not allowed to ascend. They were not allowed to leave their habitat. They had to resist the constant invaders. This was justice! This was revenge!

Then, the Overseer noticed something.

An unfamiliar person was standing beside Fierce Breaker. Usually, she wouldn't look at any random human in detail, but subconsciously, she still remembered some of them.

This human was completely unfamiliar to her, and even more, he was talking with Fierce Breaker on eye level.
