"How much longer do you need?" a red-haired woman asked the black-haired man beside him. "He's still searching for me."
"My Avatar still needs a couple of seconds," the man answered with a frown. "If he finds you, try to buy some time."
"I'll do my best," she transmitted. "To think that a Beginner Immortal would cause me such issues."
"He's there with all three of his Avatars while you only have one," the man transmitted back. "It's the right choice to avoid battle."
Two tense seconds passed.
"He found me!" the female Immortal transmitted with urgency and worry.
The male Immortal gritted his teeth. Why couldn't the Contrast Empire be faster in giving their permission?!
His wife had a Sin Hunter License, allowing her to freely enter the Hell Dimension to hunt Sinners and Cultists. However, Sin Hunter Licenses were only given to affiliates and unaffiliated members. Actual members of the Contrast Empire could only travel to the Hell Dimension with permission. The reason for that was simple.
Going to the Hell Dimension to hunt Sinners and Cultists alone was exceptionally risky. The Contrast Empire didn't allow its members to travel to the Hell Dimension by themselves.
If the Contrast Empire weren't so slow, the man could have already reached his wife!
"I'm in the Hell Dimension!" the man transmitted.
"Did you finally get permission?" the woman asked.
"No," the man answered in a severe tone.
The woman took a deep breath. For her, he had broken the Contrast Empire's rules.
"I can't wait any longer," the woman transmitted as her eyes narrowed. "I need to engage!"
BANG!
In the Hell Dimension, the warped space broke like a piece of glass, and a female Adept Immortal shot into the distance.
"Oh, you wanna run?" Grey asked as all three members of the Abyss Hammer Team shot forward.
"I'm running, and he's chasing me," the Adept Immortal transmitted to her husband with some worry. "I think I can hold him off for some time, but I'm not sure."
"Two more seconds," the man transmitted.
Meanwhile, Black's eyes narrowed as he watched the running Adept Immortal.
'If you had simply answered me, I would've let you go,' Kyle thought. 'I mean, yeah, you're probably here to gain some Karmic Luck by hunting people like me, but I'm not a monster, you know? You could've just talked to me.'
"I'm in his Domain!" the man transmitted to his wife.
At the same time, Kyle noticed a new person. 'Another Adept Immortal? This one is a bit stronger than the first one. He's also wearing the uniforms of the Contrast Empire, while she's just wearing normal clothing.'
'I should end this before even more people appear.'
The Domains of the two Adept Immortals expanded and pushed Kyle's Domain back. The majority of space was still occupied by Kyle's Domain, but he couldn't surround the two Adept Immortals with his Domain anymore.
The two Adept Immortals turned around and rushed towards Kyle. The Primordial Forces warped around them, increasing their speed drastically. Most weaker Immortals infused themselves with the Law of Primordial Forces while using their Elemental Laws to create an External Law. They usually didn't use Refined Laws since they were still working on increasing the quality of their Imposing Laws.
The average Adept Immortal had an Infused Level 8.5 Law and an External Level 8.5 Law. Their Imposing Laws were usually between 70% and 90%.
The bodies of the two Adept Immortals shone as they readied their Imposing Law of Self. Most Immortals used themselves as their Imposing Law since this was the only proven way to reach 100% quality. Sadly, improving one's self wasn't easy and took a long time.
Light and Darkness Energies flowed into the man's body as Water and Fire Energies flowed into the woman's body. A moment later, they pushed their palms forward.
Two gigantic palms appeared above Grey. The palms had two colors each. The colors became fainter as they reached the edge of the hands and became more intense as they reached the middle, which was where they met.
The man was a member of the Contrast Empire, while the woman was a former member. The two of them knew how to use their contrasting Elements to improve their powers. With this attack, they could combine the powers of their External and Imposing Laws. This attack was not a Refined Law, but the two powers still strengthened each other.
Naturally, their plan was to kill one Avatar first to even the playing field.
As Grey looked at the two approaching palms, his brows furrowed. The attacks were stronger than he had expected.
Space warped around the three hammers, and moments later, Black, White, and Grey swung their hammers forward.
Grey's hammer hit the two palms.
BOOOOOM!
A black hole seemed to appear in reality as the corrosive effects of the Minor Law of Death created a space of hungering destruction.
Grey's arms shook.
CRK!
