Strongest Hammer God novel Chapter 973

Everyone waited.

And then...

Nothing happened.

A collective sigh of relief was released, but there was also a bit of uncertainty in it.

These kinds of oaths were uncertain and inconclusive. There were instances when these oaths had worked, but there were also instances when they hadn't. Due to that, the present people couldn't be sure if there were any Demons or not. The chances were low, but they were not zero.

It was also possible that the oath worked, but that Overlord Cloudhorn's actions didn't count as trying to share intel with a Demon. After all, he might be sharing intel, but he wasn't trying to do it. Whenever oaths involved the actions of other people, it became hard to predict how they would act.

This entire act didn't give them clarity about the presence of Demons. It only reduced the chances that there was one.

"We are in this together now," Overlord Cloudhorn said. "We've all sworn the oath. We've all bet with our lives. We might not be sure if the oath actually works or not, but I believe I speak for all of us when I say that we do not want to take chances."

A couple of people nodded.

Even though the most dangerous part was over, the mood didn't improve. The present people felt quite nervous. After all, even though they were fighting for Ayuvar and Humanity, technically, they had prioritized Kyle's group over Humanity as a whole with the oaths.

The people felt like they had done something that they were not supposed to, and yet, they also didn't feel like they had made a mistake.

This group from the Supreme World represented Ayuvar's only chance to get out of this mess. If they didn't give that group all of their support, they would forever have regrets.

"Thank you," Manny suddenly said. "All of you."

The others looked at Manny. It was a bit strange to see a Sage talk to them like this, but they also didn't think that it was wrong. The group from the Supreme World was still weak, but they were capable. They could do things that Humanity couldn't do.

"Are you the group's leader?" Overlord Cloudhorn asked Manny.

"I'm the closest thing to one, but I can't give orders to the others. I plan, and the others voluntarily follow my plans," Manny explained.

"Then, we should come up with some plans," Overlord Cloudhorn said before he started conversing with Manny via voice transmission. As the only Overlord present, Overlord Cloudhorn was the leader of the team of onlookers by default.

The two of them shared countless sentences via voice transmission. Their minds were extremely fast, and yet, they still talked for over ten seconds.

When the conversation was over, Overlord Cloudhorn looked at the other members of Humanity.

"I will not force you to follow my orders, but in the best interest of everyone present, I would suggest following them. I might not get the opportunity to give a lot of orders, but the few that I will give will be the most important ones I have ever given. Yet, as long as you forget what happened today, you can leave and continue your life. Joining this group will make your life much more difficult and riskier."

"I'm already dedicated to this group," General Regalia answered. "I've worked under you for many years, and I am fine with working under you for longer."

"I'm willing to follow your command," Senior Protector Blooddrought said. As a Senior Protector, she was already used to following the Overlords directly.

Several more people stepped forward to pledge their support, and many more did so via voice transmissions. Overlord Cloudhorn accepted all of them and shared important information with them. He and Manny had talked a lot, and they had come up with a general plan.

"What did you guys talk about?" Kyle asked Manny.

"A lot," Manny answered. "We agreed that we're keeping almost everything that has happened here secret, well, as secret as we can keep it. Several members of Humanity died today, including Overlord Stygian. This will cause a huge commotion.

"Sadly, due to the oath, talking about anything that has happened here will be risky. The good thing is that we can trust this group to a great extent, making it easier to make plans and attain resources. Cloudhorn told me a lot about Humanity, giving me a much clearer view."

"For example, Humanity is not fundamentally corrupted by Demons. There is no rule that says that an Overlord has to report to a Demon. Officially, anyone who found a Demon and didn't report them will be executed immediately."

Kyle remembered the time Overlord Cloudhorn had killed a Demon. With the newfound information, Cloudhorn's actions became even weightier. By killing the Demon, he had essentially confessed to a crime punishable by execution.

"I assume Overlord Cloudhorn will be the one who commands this group?" Kyle asked.
