"For Light."
Horaza chanted, and the Light Borns now standing behind him all did the same—
"For Light."
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM
Beams of golden energy converged on the seven Fallen Light Borns. Each blast carried enough power to gravely injure them if the attack connected, reducing almost all their resistance.
The light that shined was so intense that the entirety of the sky turned white, the ocean vanished under the immense pressure—
It was as if a second sun had been born right above Irethol.
Elyra shielded her eyes, her entire body trembling from the force. Even standing near this power was painful and reopened her still unhealed injuries.
And when the light faded—the Fallen were gone.
Disappeared from sight.
For a single moment, Elyra felt... hope.
Maybe... maybe it was truly the end.
Maybe they finally won.
But...
Hope was a sadistic emotion.
Even when Elyra’s mind knew the truth, her heart refused to believe it. Her heart wanted to believe that they had won—but then—
SWOOOSH
A spear appeared from nowhere, piercing through one of the defenders. The said Light Born would have died if it weren’t for Horaza protecting him.
And behind him—behind him stood one of the Fallen Light Borns who had ’disappeared’ a few moments ago.
"You do not listen, do you?"
The Fallen muttered in a low tone. He didn’t seem particularly bothered by the fact that his attack did not work.
"Do not falter!"
Horaza shouted, not giving up.
"It doesn’t matter what tricks they are playing, Lady Seraphielle stands behind us and not them—
This battle—we cannot lose!"
He roared as he gathered more Light Energy around him. The rest of the Light Borns nodded and continued the battle, unleashing another wave of Light.
The Fallen blurred again, splitting into multiple forms that weaved through the attacks. Every time they were hit, their forms exploded into light... only for it to be devoured by the Shadow and reform seconds later.
The battle became chaotic.
The sky of Irethol had long turned gold and white, torn apart by constant explosions. Each second, hundreds of beams crossed, explosions far greater than what most worlds could handle happened regularly as the two sides clashed.
Elyra tried to follow the battle, but her eyes simply couldn’t keep up. The power being released was beyond anything she had ever imagined. Irethol’s Will was crying, begging her to stop the two sides but...
But the Thal’ren Progenitor was helpless.
This had become far bigger than what she could control.
She... she could only watch—and try to predict the result by comparing the two sides.
The Light Borns were magnificent; they were definitely stronger than their opponents, but the Fallen were unending. They continued to reappear every time they were ’killed,’ making it seem impossible to defeat them.
BOOOOOM
One of the Light Borns unleashed a wave of Sanctum Pulse—a devastating ripple meant to erase all that was not born from Light.
The wild, unrestrained light swept through the battlefield, consuming everything in its path—
—and yet, when it cleared, the Fallen were still there.
Not even scratched.
Horaza stared at the situation with a grim look on his face—he himself had killed Farah three more times, but every single time, he had reappeared.
This battle...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
