Supreme Harem God System novel Chapter 2212

Chapter 2212: None of what you said is true or holds any basis.

"Do you think... others are any different from you?

Even if the Anomaly won the battle of his own Universe, do you think his Universe would... still be in the shape that it once was...?"

Eternity asked a question and for an instant, silence descended over the large room. None of the three entities spoke, but every single one of them knew the answer.

This was the reason none of them, even after trillions and trillions of years had passed, had acted.

Although winning against the other three Infinities was difficult—almost close to impossible for any of them—even if they thought that they somehow stood a chance, they wouldn’t act on it.

After all, they knew the truth.

The war wasn’t just about winning.

It was about... winning so overwhelmingly that the other three couldn’t do anything to harm you or the Universe itself.

This was the reason why Zylarith, even when he had the strength to go against all the other Infinities, didn’t move first.

It was the True Eternity who exposed his plans and rallied the other Infinities against him. If it were up to Zylarith, he would have still waited for a million more years—for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Though that opportunity itself was hard to come by, after all, if it were that easy, the Universe would have already become one of their domains and the others would have perished.

So the Anomaly...

Even if he was his Universe’s God, he was either a being who managed to find this opportunity at the right time, when he was ready, or... a being who had destroyed everything in the process of winning.

Obviously, the odds of the latter—no matter how low in reality—were much, much, much higher than the first possibility, and the four Infinities knew that.

But again—

For beings as paranoid as them, as long as it was just a theory in their mind, no matter how likely it was, even if it was a theory that stated two plus two equals four, without proof—they simply would not believe it.

"What if... he was so overwhelmingly stronger than his enemies that they didn’t even get the chance to do what we would have done?"

Balance asked. He didn’t even feel ashamed admitting that, just like Darkness, he too would rather destroy the Universe than let someone else have it.

That was just how it was. Balance craved absolute Balance, but letting the Universe fall into another’s hands would... destroy the Balance.

According to him, only Balance could keep the Universe stable, and only... he... could maintain that balance.

"As I said, if he was that overwhelmingly strong, none of us would be having this discussion. He would have removed us already."

Eternity answered in a light tone.

"He didn’t even appear before Seraphielle when she went to find him alone. You think someone as overwhelmingly strong as we fear him to be would be so... cowardly?"

"What if there is some restriction that is stopping him from doing that?"

Balance didn’t back down.

"We still do not understand how the barrier between different Universes works. The only thing we know is what the previous Eternity found out—that every once in a while, coincidentally, the barrier weakens just enough for a soul from one random Universe to move to another random Universe.

This happens to our Universe, where we receive souls from another Universe, and this happens to other Universes, where they receive souls from ours.

Nothing else is known about travel between two different Universes—how this travel is done, what its implications are, how it affects the traveler, what the restrictions are, the dos and don’ts. There is nothing we know.

So how can we be so certain that our enemy isn’t as strong as we are fearing?"

The Entity of Balance let out his thoughts, completely disregarding Eternity’s words.

"If such restrictions do exist, then what is there to worry?"

But Eternity just shrugged.

"If his movements are restricted, it means there is nothing he can do anyway. Doesn’t that give us a clear advantage?"

"Who said these restrictions are permanent...?"

Suddenly, Balance said a few words that silenced Eternity.

"What if... he has a way to lower these restrictions, and all he needs is time? If the enemy is competent enough to take over his Universe and become its Absolute God, then he isn’t someone who can be left alone.

He is someone who wouldn’t stop until he gets what he wants, and since... he is now targeting our Universe...

It is up to us to defend it."

Balance then paused for a moment, looking at all three Infinities gathered here and— 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"It doesn’t matter if there are restrictions on the enemy or not. Even if there are none, even if the Universe he comes from itself was weaker than ours, even if the reason he is not moving is because he is wary of our strength since he does not understand it,

the fact of the matter still remains the same.

The enemy is moving.

He is acting against us, he is slowly chipping away at our Universe’s power, he is devouring our Worlds, he is devouring and corrupting our people—

We cannot let this be.

We need to act against him. We need to stand against him.

We... need to stop him or die trying.

This is no longer about us. We have a history—be it a history of eons of enmity—but at the very end of the day, we still hold a relation, we hail from the same Universe.
