"Our Universe is perfect in structure,
But it still has flaws."
"What flaws?"
Amaya asked.
"The biggest one?"
Nux glanced around the room and then—
"It still cannot support true individuals."
The women frowned at those words, several questions appearing in their heads, and Nux, who could sense all those questions, began explaining.
"Our Universe can now support life, yes. This is the reason that billions of beings who became part of our Universe because we devoured their worlds have not become incomplete entities, but full ones.
But supporting life and giving birth to new life are two separate matters."
Nux paused, letting his words sink in.
"The Primordial Energies support the Universe. They help it expand, exist and give birth to life, but all of this takes time.
Cosmic-level time.
The energies gather, worlds form, the worlds then form their wills, and that’s when life sprouts.
And this takes a long, long time.
Our Universe, however, is different.
Our Universe already has worlds, and these worlds have their wills but... none of those wills are awake yet.
They are still... sleeping and adjusting to their new surroundings.
And that means..."
Nux paused, looking at Allura, then at the others with an even more serious look.
"That means our Universe is not ready to support new life the way it should."
Allura’s hand moved to her belly again without thinking.
Felberta’s expression tightened.
Evane’s frown deepened, her worry apparent. The question in her head was simple: if the Universe cannot support new life, then what about their child?
What was going to happen to their child?
And it wasn’t just her; every woman was thinking the same.
And Nux obviously knew that—
"A child doesn’t only need protection from enemies.
A child needs the Universe itself to hold, nourish him and... help him grow."
Then, Nux looked back at Aeliana and—
"So no.
Staying here and waiting is not enough."
Aeliana’s expression changed.
"You want to keep invading."
"Yes."
Nux nodded.
And a cold, unexpected silence followed.
"Devouring living entities from the Main Universe doesn’t just shift that entity from the Main Universe to ours.
It acts like fertilizer.
No matter what kind of living entity it is.
Living Worlds have their World Wills. When I devour those worlds together with their Will, I plant the seed of that very World Will in our Universe, erasing the need to form a new, independent world and a world’s will entirely. And while it does save quite a bit of energy, what it saves even more is time.
Creating everything from scratch takes far longer than just... letting the dormant seeds wake up.
And it’s not just the worlds, even the living beings we devour become nourishment. When these living beings break through, they make the Universe and myself more... stable and... stronger.
Their breakthrough acts as our Universe’s fertilizer. Of course, when one does it, it wouldn’t change anything, but when billions, trillions or even quadrillions do it—
The effect becomes much, much, much bigger.
With such a ridiculous amount of fertilizer, we could stabilize our Universe within decades and..."
Nux smiled again. It wasn’t his usual teasing smile; it was like a Dragon’s arrogant, stubborn smile that made it clear he had no intention of stepping back,
Not when he was doing all this for his child.
"That’s what I aim to do."
He declared directly.
"Even if the Four Infinities stand together against us."
"You really don’t know when to stop."
Ember sighed, already rubbing her temple. The Dragon seemed... amused and irritated at the same time.
Nux glanced at her and—
"I know exactly when to stop,"
He replied.
Then he glanced at the bellies again.
"And I’m not stopping now."
His voice grew gentler for a moment.
"Not when we finally have something that needs more than our strength.
Something that needs time, growth, and nourishment."
His eyes then sharpened again and—
"I have no intention of waiting trillions of years for that."
For a moment, no one spoke.
The air in the room felt heavier than before. The women’s faces turned solemn; it felt like the Universe itself had leaned forward to listen.
Felberta’s fingers rested on her belly and her eyes changed, becoming more... focused. She looked like she was already counting risks in her head.
Amaya’s gaze stayed locked on Nux. Even the Devourer did not like the idea of leaving their Universe again—not when they finally had a home, not when they now held something so fragile.
"So... what’s the plan?"
Aeliana asked carefully.
Her voice was calm, but every single person in the room felt the... tension in it.
