Supreme Harem God System novel Chapter 2275

Chapter 2275: The Unnerving smile.

"I’m coming for you,"

The Anomaly spoke with a predatory grin on his face.

"Seraphielle Light.

Wait for me."

And with that—

The screen cut.

And the void went silent.

For a few breaths, none of the Light-born elites moved.

They stood above the empty space where a High Level World had once existed, space that now looked... clean, eerily clean.

Their formations stayed tight, their halos and wings were still glowing, their artifacts still floating around them like loyal dogs that did not know their master had... already lost the hunt.

Then the commander finally exhaled.

"Find the transmission source.

Make sure this doesn’t spread."

He ordered.

A few Light-born raised their hands at once, sending threads of Light across the void, searching for resonance, searching for anchors, searching for the smallest trace of Space-power that could be tracked.

"My Lord."

The commander contacted Lord Light directly.

"There was another message."

He reported with a solemn look on his face.

"Give your orders, I will assign my men to stop the spread according—"

The commander’s mind was already working, coming up with several ways to contain the recording from spreading.

In his mind, he was already fearing that the recording had already spread, just like it had before.

Some of his men were already contacting the worlds they were connected to, to know the extent of the damage they were dealing with.

But in the middle of the rush, in the middle of all these thoughts—

[What’s the message?]

Lord Light asked a question.

"My Lord...?"

The commander frowned.

Why was Lord Light asking him...?

Shouldn’t he already know?

Shouldn’t... the reports already be there?

Did the message not spread?

Did they... still have time to contain this completely?

For a moment, a ray of hope flared inside the commander’s heart. He talked about the message, what was shown, what happened to Archon, what he said before he disappeared, and then the Anomaly’s final words.

And for a moment, Lord Light stayed... silent.

The commander, on the other hand, looked at his subordinates, waiting for a report, and the reports were here.

"Nothing.

No message was spread."

"What...?"

The commander frowned in disbelief.

"Nothing?"

He asked to confirm.

But again—

"Nothing."

The subordinates confirmed; none of the worlds they contacted reported anything unusual.

"Did Anomaly not spread the message this time?"

The commander wondered out loud and that was when the answer came—

[No.]

It was Lord Light.

"My Lord?"

The commander tilted his head in confusion and Lord Light explained—

[The message did not spread inside Light territory.]

The commander tilted his head further in confusion and Lord Light continued—

[There were reports from neutral worlds, worlds that belong to other Supreme Factions. They all reported the screening too.

Everywhere but us.

Every world, every region in the Universe was targeted, but worlds aligned with Light weren’t.]

The rest of the Light-born heard those words and blinked.

"It’s like... it hit the entire Universe and stopped at our borders."

"Is it because we already captured his agents?"

Another asked.

"Obviously."

The answer came instantly.

"He needs his agents to spread his message. If there are no agents, he is helpless."

"Other factions won’t be able to stop him, but us— the Anomaly now has no influence over us."

"It just goes to show our superior control and power. There shouldn’t be any more doubts after this."

The Light-born smiled, nodding at each other’s words as they talked. This seemed like a victory to them and just then, another Light-born laughed—

"So all that effort... for nothing?"

The commander didn’t laugh, but some of the others did. It started small, two or three chuckles that sounded... almost relieved, then it spread like a wave.

"He threatened Lady Seraphielle, and he couldn’t even get the threat into our worlds."

One of them grinned.

"Pitiful,"

Another shook his head; he almost seemed... disappointed.

"He devoured a world, made a big show, and no one under Light even heard it."

Another Light-born commented with a similar, disdainful tone. She looked amused.

"Alright, no more chit-chat. Investigate the void, try to find something.

Anything that connects us with Anomaly.

We need to find where he hides."

The commander ordered, and with that—

The Light-born got to work.

The commander, on the other hand, looked at the place where the screen had been and remembered the last thing he saw.

Why did he smile like that?

Bluff.

It was all a bluff.

Was it... really a bluff?
