"Seraphielle!"
"Have you lost your mind!?"
The moment the Infinity of Light declared war, the room reacted. Both Equarios and Orravyn raised their ’concerned’ voices.
A war between Light and Darkness wasn’t uncommon. Light Worlds were constantly at war with Darkness Worlds, it happened almost every century.
But a war between the Supreme World of Light and the Supreme World of Darkness?
That changed things.
Because that war would plunge the entire Universe into it.
And the two Infinities were worried.
Or at least, that’s what they were showing outside. Inwardly, however, they couldn’t be more glad.
The Anomaly had disrupted the delicate balance that the four Infinities had. His actions had spread fear, anger, helplessness and more such negative emotions.
These actions alone weakened Light, but with Light’s counter moves, moves like sealing themselves and monthly memory checks, these emotions only got stronger.
Light was severely weakened, it wasn’t just its Authority that was draining, the number of Eternals under Light’s Faction was falling and believe it or not, even if an Infinity was strong, the number of Eternals still mattered.
At least when it came to war.
But...
Light’s weakening wasn’t the only thing that happened because of this.
Light and Darkness were two opposite sides of the same coin, if Light got weaker, the chances of Darkness getting stronger were quite high.
And that was exactly what happened.
All this fear, uncertainty, helplessness, anger, negative emotions that the entire Universe felt fuelled Darkness, or more precisely, it strengthened Ul’Thakar.
Of course, he still wasn’t at the level where Zylarith once was. Darkness wasn’t like Chaos, it couldn’t grow endlessly.
But even then—
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that at this point in time, because of everything that was happening in the Universe, Ul’Thakar was the strongest out of the four of them.
And the worst part?
He was getting stronger and stronger.
If the Anomaly’s actions continued for... say another few hundred thousand years, at the same rate as he was doing right now, and none of his actions directly targeted Ul’Thakar...
The negative emotions in the Universe would pile up even further, releasing enough darkness energy to rival... chaos.
Yes.
If things continued like they were—
Ul’Thakar could potentially become as strong as Zylarith and none of the Infinities wanted that.
So while both Orravyn and Equarios talked about how they should avoid war and were trying to stop Seraphielle—
Inwardly, they were smiling.
The plan was simple.
They were going to let these two fight and weaken each other. Seraphielle’s condition did not matter, she was already out of the equation, at least for now, but they did hope that this war would weaken Ul’Thakar to some level, giving them an advantage.
Then they would only need to worry about each other and once the victor between them was chosen, he could then plan to move, find and defeat the Fifth and...
Take over the Universe’s Will.
Yes.
The Infinities, especially the Infinity of Balance and the Infinity of Eternity, could see it. Their long waits finally bearing fruit.
Of course, none of these feelings could be seen on their faces right now, they had even approached Seraphielle to try and stop her.
"Seraphielle, think carefully. This isn’t a battle you can win."
Orravyn spoke in a ’concerned’ voice. Equarios too understood what Orravyn was doing and followed along.
"Yes, stop this."
He nodded.
"Ul’Thakar is stronger than he normally is and you are weaker. If you continue like this, you will perish."
"Yes, the Anomaly has weakened you and made you desperate, but giving in to that desperation and acting on it isn’t the right thing to do."
"War is not the solution!"
Both Infinities were ’convincing’ Seraphielle to stop. Their words, however, were more provocative than convincing.
And why wouldn’t they be?
Their intentions were to provoke her, to boil her anger further, to make sure she didn’t back out, not now, not after they were so close.
They wanted to do the same with Ul’Thakar too, they wanted to provoke him to jump in as well, but right now Seraphielle was the easier target, the one with unstable emotions, the one who was more likely to burst out—
Or at least that’s what they thought but—
"YOU!!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOM
Suddenly, Ul’Thakar, who had been silent for about a second, suddenly released an Aura far more suffocating than Seraphielle’s. His crimson eyes glowed intensely, pressure around him flared and he glared at Seraphielle as if he wanted her dead this very moment.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM
