In an empty void far, far away from the battle between the two Infinities, Nux hovered alone.
There was no wind, no ground, no sound around him, only the Universal Energy and debris that would turn into another world after hundreds or maybe thousands of years—if the Universe survives that long, that is.
Nux was in his human form and was staring at the battle, well, not staring, he was too far away to see it, he was... feeling it.
He could tell it had already begun.
His long black hair floated around his shoulders. His body was lean and muscular, built like a weapon that didn’t need armor. His shirt hung open, exposing his collarbone and his lean, muscular build, a body that seemed like it was carved out by the finest craftsmen in the Universe.
His face was still the same, still too handsome to be real, a being who could tempt or seduce any being, regardless of their race.
A being who... looked too relaxed for someone who was about to do what Nux planned to do.
Nux tapped into his Dragon Blood, a blood he had been suppressing and strengthening all this while, it wasn’t dramatic, at least not at first.
There were no grand explosions or anything like that.
There were only small changes.
First were his eyes.
The golden glow of his eyes deepened, becoming much brighter than before.
Then, it was his body. His skin darkened, his bones began to stretch, his spine extended, vertebra by vertebra, lengthening into something impossible. His arms split and reshaped, joints rearranging into powerful forelimbs. His fingers fused, turning into talons that looked like curved blades carved from night.
And—
Flap
Giant, batlike wings erupted from his back. They were so ridiculously huge that when they unfolded, it felt like continents were being separated, and this was when the transformation wasn’t done.
Yes, they were still growing, and the pace at which they did hadn’t slowed down, not one bit.
Then, his scales appeared, covering his entire, still expanding body.
And Nux’s scales weren’t the usual red or orange scales Dragons usually had. They were black with a tinge of purple and thin streaks of cosmic silver.
It was as if... the scales were made from the Universe itself.
After all this, Nux’s ’face’ changed as well, if it could even be called a face, that is.
His jaw pushed forward, his teeth grew out in rows, like multiple ridiculously large fangs. Two glossy, sharp horns curved from his skull.
And everything...
Everything kept growing.
His chest became the size of a city.
Then a continent.
Then something that made moons look small.
And when the transformation was finally complete, when he stopped growing—
Nux opened his eyes, two golden balls of intense heat and light that lit up the dark void around him.
Then—
Flap
He spread his wings, this time completely, and when he did, the void itself felt... small. The debris behind him completely disappeared, blocked by the shadow of something too large to belong in any sane universe.
*Picture*
Finally, Nux’s mouth curved slightly and—
In a voice that didn’t travel through air but through existence itself.
"This feels... different."
He spoke.
Within seconds, the small man hovering in space had completely disappeared and was replaced by... an entity that... couldn’t be explained.
It was a Dragon.
Yes, that was very apparent.
But...
No Dragon had ever looked like this.
It wasn’t even close.
First was the sheer size itself.
Its body was... ridiculously large, at least a hundred thousand kilometers, and that was just a number one would think of if they ever had the misfortune to see it.
No one actually dared to measure it.
A more accurate or... sensible description of his size would be that if Nux opened his mouth, it would be large enough to swallow an average low-level world like it was candy.
And that was just the mouth, the rest of his body was much larger.
Nux didn’t look like a living entity with a mind of his own, he looked like... a nightmare. A monster without a mind, an entity of pure destruction, fear and... death.
A cosmic beast, large enough to coil around a world and crush it with pure physical might alone, or outright swallow it whole and not leave anything behind.
And that was exactly what he did.
The Dragon moved.
He wasn’t fast.
His body was too large, if he also had the ability to move as fast as he usually does, considering his current mass, that would change the very flow of gravity around him, making the very Universe collapse.
